Overview

The 2027 GMC Sierra price now comes in two layers. GMC announced official starting prices on September 22, 2026, but only for Crew Cab 4WD trucks. Then, on October 1, GM Authority uncovered a table covering every cab, drivetrain and engine, running from $42,095 to $94,640.

GMC has not published the full GM Authority table. Every figure here includes the $2,795 destination charge, except the gmc.com starting figures noted below. Taxes, options and dealer fees come on top. Also, GMC expects the first trucks at dealers before the end of 2026, according to its official release.

This guide separates official numbers from reported ones and compares them with the 2026 model. For hardware, see our 2027 GMC Sierra 1500 reveal.

GMC lists 34-inch tires on the AT4 and 35-inch tires on the AT4X. Tires this big call for air-down gear, starting with the VIAIR 400P portable air compressor. Next, the BOULDER TOOLS Adjustable Automatic Tire Deflator and JACO ElitePro Tire Pressure Gauge round out the kit.

2027 GMC Sierra Price by Trim

GMC’s Crew Cab 4WD pricing lists one starting price per trim, with destination included.

Trim Starting MSRP Standard Engine
Pro $51,295 2.7L TurboMax
Elevation $59,995 2.7L TurboMax
AT4 $73,495 5.7L V8
Denali $76,795 5.7L V8
AT4X $85,495 3.0L Duramax diesel
Denali Ultimate $87,895 6.6L V8

Notably, the AT4 undercuts the Denali by $3,300 while carrying the same 5.7L V8. However, GMC says prices for other cab, box, drivetrain and package combinations will vary.

Reported Prices Beyond the Crew Cab

GM Authority fills the gaps GMC left open. First, its table puts the lowest price at $42,095 for the Pro Regular Cab Standard Box with 2WD and the 2.7L turbo four-cylinder. Four-wheel drive on the same truck costs $46,695, so the drivetrain adds $4,600.

GMC.com shows a $39,300 starting figure for the Pro, which leaves out destination. Add the $2,795 charge and you land on $42,095. GMC.com’s starting figures for the other five trims also match GM Authority’s lowest prices once destination is added. Because sources treat destination differently, match every number before you compare Crew Cab 4WD pricing.

The table also has flaws. For example, it lists a 5.7L “V7” and an “:76” engine code, both typos. It also pairs the $87,895 Denali Ultimate with a 6.2L V8, an engine GMC’s release does not list. Further, it shows an $89,805 diesel version no one else confirmed. Treat Denali Ultimate engine splits as unconfirmed.

Sierra 1500 Pricing Steps: Engines, Trims and the AEV Edition

Start with the official steps. The AT4 to AT4X jump is $12,000, from $73,495 to $85,495. According to GMC, the AT4X carries 35-inch mud-terrain tires, front and rear electronic locking differentials and new Multimatic Jounce Control Dampers. In contrast, the AT4 rides on 34-inch all-terrain tires with a 2-inch lift. The Hankook Dynapro AT2 Xtreme review covers the reported tire.

Engine choice moves the price less, and these numbers come from GM Authority. On the AT4X, the 6.6L V8 costs $2,505 more than the 3.0L Duramax diesel, at $88,000 against $85,495 in GM Authority’s table. Similarly, the Denali climbs $2,800, from $76,795 with the 5.7L V8 to $79,595 with the 6.6L. GMC rates the 6.6L at 481 horsepower and 501 pound-feet, compared with 402 and 428 for the 5.7L.

The AT4X AEV Edition brings another big jump. GM Authority lists it at $92,135 with the diesel and $94,640 with the 6.6L. Either way, the price sits $6,640 above the matching AT4X. GMC says the package adds AEV bumpers, skid plates and recovery hooks. It also adds black sport steps, 18-inch beadlock-capable wheels, all-weather floor liners and a dual downturn exhaust. However, GMC calls the AEV Edition late availability and has published no AT4X AEV Edition price.

2027 GMC Sierra Price vs. the 2026 Sierra

Now compare the new truck with the outgoing one. It costs more at every trim where both outlets agree. All figures below are Crew Cab 4WD with destination, from GM Authority’s comparison. The AT4 rises $2,700, from $70,795 to $73,495. Next, the AT4X gains $3,100, from $82,395 to $85,495. Finally, the Denali jumps $4,105, from $72,690 to $76,795.

Pro and Elevation comparisons are less clear. Car and Driver reports a $1,955 jump for the Pro and $3,600 for the Elevation, while GM Authority shows $1,000 and $600. The two outlets used different 2026 baselines. Treat those deltas and the Denali Ultimate change as unsettled until GMC publishes its own comparison.

What This Means for You

If you want an off-road Sierra, the real choice is AT4 against AT4X. Specifically, the $12,000 gap equals about 16 percent of the AT4 price. I would price the AT4 first and let the AT4X earn its extra money. After all, the AT4 already brings a 2-inch lift and 34-inch all-terrain tires.

If you plan to order a Regular Cab or Double Cab, wait for GMC. The $42,095 Pro is the lowest number in play, and gmc.com’s starting figure plus destination supports it. Yet GMC’s release says it will announce Regular Cab, Double Cab and additional configuration availability as production expands.

Delivery timing matters as much as the sticker. GMC gives no exact date, only dealer arrival before the end of 2026. Also, tariffs add a second timing question, and our guide explains whether to buy before January 1 or wait. While you wait, price the 2027 Tundra Trailhunter as the other off-road half-ton.

GMC lists recovery hooks on the AT4X AEV Edition. However, hooks alone do not free a stuck truck. Universal gear fills the gap, starting with Rhino USA Off-Road Traction Boards. Then add the Rhino USA Synthetic Soft Shackle Rope and Rhino USA Kinetic Recovery Rope.

Final Thoughts

The 2027 GMC Sierra price picture is still incomplete, and I think patience pays while GMC finishes its pricing. GMC’s six official numbers give you a solid map. GM Authority’s table fills in the rest of the lineup, although a few entries need correcting.

Here is what to remember. Prices rose on the AT4, AT4X and Denali. GMC has not published an AT4X AEV Edition price. Most Regular Cab and Double Cab numbers remain unofficial. If you want a Regular Cab, Double Cab or AEV Edition, hold your deposit until GMC publishes prices.

Start with the AT4 at $73,495 if trail driving is the goal. See whether its tires and lift cover your routes. If your trips involve sand, rocks and steep climbs where locking differentials matter, the AT4X at $85,495 makes sense. GM Authority puts the 6.6L V8 version $2,505 higher.

Take your time. Check back as GMC fills in the missing prices, and compare the Sierra with its rivals before you sign.
