Overview
The 2027 Silverado price now runs from $41,395 for the Work Truck to $79,995 for the ZR2, according to Chevrolet. Both figures also include the $2,795 destination charge. Chevrolet.com shows lower starting figures, $38,600 and $77,200, because those leave destination out.
On October 3, GM Authority published a full options table covering packages, wheels, tires and engines. Treat those option prices as reported rather than official. Also, taxes and dealer fees come on top of every number here.
Chevrolet expects the first trucks on sale at the end of this year. For hardware details, read our 2027 Silverado engine chart. Also, the rival GMC truck gets its own breakdown in our 2027 GMC Sierra price guide.
Three trims sit on a factory lift, with 34-inch tires on the Trail Boss trims and 35-inch tires on the ZR2. Tires this large need air gear. Start with the VIAIR 400P portable air compressor. Next, add the BOULDER TOOLS Adjustable Automatic Tire Deflator and the JACO ElitePro Tire Pressure Gauge.

2027 Silverado Price by Trim
Chevrolet lists one starting price per trim, with destination included. However, each price covers only the cheapest cab and drivetrain, so the configuration matters.
| Trim | Starting MSRP | Configuration included |
|---|---|---|
| Work Truck | $41,395 | Regular Cab, standard bed, 2WD |
| Custom | $46,395 | Double Cab, standard bed, 2WD |
| Silverado | $50,695 | Double Cab, standard bed, 2WD |
| Custom Trail Boss | $57,195 | Crew Cab, short bed, 4WD |
| Trail Boss | $63,995 | Crew Cab, short bed, 4WD |
| High Country | $74,495 | Crew Cab, short bed, 2WD |
| ZR2 | $79,995 | Crew Cab, short bed, 4WD |
Prices come from Chevrolet’s newsroom release, and GM Authority supplies the configurations. Notably, the Silverado trim starts with 2WD, yet GM Authority lists its 4WD Crew Cab short bed at $56,995. Likewise, GM Authority shows 4WD adding $3,100 to the High Country, for $77,595.
The last three rows are the factory-lifted trims, and the next section compares them.
Lifted Trims and the Silverado ZR2 Price

First, Chevrolet gives both Trail Boss trims a 2-inch factory lift and 34-inch tires. The ZR2 adds 35-inch mud-terrain tires, standard front and rear e-lockers and Multimatic DSSV dampers. Together, these parts add to the price.
Compare the lifted trucks in one configuration: Crew Cab, short bed, 4WD. For example, GM Authority lists the Silverado trim at $56,995, the Custom Trail Boss at $57,195 and the Trail Boss at $63,995. The Silverado ZR2 price is $79,995.
The Custom Trail Boss costs only $200 more than a 4WD Silverado. It still adds the lift and the 34-inch tires. Then the Trail Boss price climbs $6,800. Finally, the ZR2 adds another $16,000.
Engine, Bison and Package Costs

Engine choice moves the price less than trim does. The ZR2 comes standard with the 3.0L Duramax diesel, rated at 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet. The 6.6L V8 adds $2,505 on the ZR2, according to GM Authority, and the engine makes 481 horsepower and 501 pound-feet.
On the High Country, the 5.7L V8 is standard, with 402 horsepower and 428 pound-feet. Also, GM Authority lists the 6.6L at $2,800 there and the diesel at no extra cost.
GM Authority reports the ZR2 Bison Edition adds $8,020, which takes the ZR2 to $88,015. Then adding the 6.6L takes the total to $90,520. In addition, Chevrolet says the Bison brings AEV bumpers, rocker protection and beadlock-capable 18-inch wheels. It also adds skid plates for the front underbody, transfer case, rear differential and fuel tank.
| Option | Reported price (GM Authority) | Where it is offered |
|---|---|---|
| ZR2 Bison Edition | $8,020 | ZR2 |
| Super Cruise Package | $3,105 | Silverado, Trail Boss |
| 6.6L V8 engine | $2,505 | ZR2 |
| Off-road assist steps | $1,550 | Custom Trail Boss, Trail Boss, ZR2 |
| Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires | $495 | Silverado |
| Underbody cameras | $350 | Trail Boss |
Super Cruise comes standard on the High Country and ZR2. Several trail items, including A-pillar off-road lights, still show TBD in GM Authority’s table.
2027 Silverado Price vs. the 2026 Truck
MotorTrend says nearly every trim costs more than its prior-generation equivalent. In its comparison with last year’s stickers, the Work Truck rises $1,700, the Custom rises $3,995 and the Silverado trim rises $2,795 over the LT it replaces. Likewise, the ZR2 climbs $8,195 and the High Country climbs $11,595.
In contrast, MotorTrend says the Custom Trail Boss costs $2,505 less than the LT Trail Boss it replaces. MotorTrend gives no 2026 comparison for the Trail Boss.
What This Means for You
If you want a factory-lifted truck at the lowest price, start with the Custom Trail Boss. At $57,195 it adds the 2-inch lift and 34-inch tires for little more than a 4WD Silverado. I would price the Custom Trail Boss before any other off-road trim.
The ZR2 is a different purchase. It costs $16,000 more than the Trail Boss, and the extra money buys 35-inch tires, front and rear e-lockers and DSSV dampers. I drive a 2025 Colorado ZR2, so I understand the appeal. However, check the Trail Boss price of $63,995 first, and ask whether your trails need lockers.
Timing matters as much as the sticker. Chevrolet expects sales to start at the end of 2026, and our tariff guide explains whether to buy before January 1 or wait. Also, hold any deposit on an option still marked TBD.
A lift and big tires take you further out, so carry recovery gear before the first trip. Start with Rhino USA Off-Road Traction Boards. Then add the Rhino USA Synthetic Soft Shackle Rope and the Rhino USA Kinetic Recovery Rope.

Final Thoughts
The 2027 Silverado price list is clear on trims and thin on options, so I would wait for the TBD items to be priced before ordering. Chevrolet’s seven starting prices give you a solid map. GM Authority’s table fills in the rest, although those numbers are reported, not official.
Here is what to remember. First, the Work Truck starts at $41,395 and the ZR2 starts at $79,995. Next, the Custom Trail Boss is the cheapest lifted truck at $57,195. Finally, GM Authority reports a ZR2 with the Bison and the 6.6L reaches $90,520.
If you want the most factory hardware, the ZR2 has it, with 35-inch tires, front and rear e-lockers and DSSV dampers. If you want value, the Custom Trail Boss gives you the lift and 34-inch tires for far less. Compare both with the GMC Sierra AT4 before you sign.
