Top Brands You Can’t Miss at Overland Expo West

I’ve been making the trek from Southern California to Overland Expo West for the last six years. It is hands-down one of my favorite yearly trips because it’s a great time with good people and so much awesome gear to check out.

As I’ve learned over the years, though, the expo is so big that you really need a game plan before you arrive, otherwise it’s easy to miss some truly epic booths. That’s where this guide comes in…

I’ve compiled a list of some of the companies I’m most excited about at this year’s expo. Check them out below, get a feel for their products, discover where to find them at the expo, and much more!

Table of Contents

Cube Series

Cube Series Trailer with Bronco 2

If there’s one brand I absolutely insist you check out at Overland Expo West in 2025, it’s Cube Series

I made my way up to Oregon to check out their headquarters and take a closer look at their Camper and Trailer a few months back, and if I’m being totally honest, I was blown away. These folks have developed two of the most impressive outfits I’ve seen in a good, long while.

Let’s start with the Cube Series camper. This is the compact, hard-sided pop-up camper that proves you don’t need to sacrifice comfort or performance for portability. It’s not just clever marketing—this thing really delivers. It’s designed to be stored inside a standard garage while still loaded on your truck, so that right there demonstrates how innovative this rig is. It’s built for modern convenience and rugged utility at the same time—which is not something every camper can claim.

cube series camper with awning out

One of my favorite aspects of the Cube camper is its innovative tie-down system. You can forget about the expensive tie-down brackets and turnbuckles most truck campers require—Cube Series developed a fast-load, inside-bed anchor system that utilizes your factory tie-downs. It’s a clean, simple solution that makes loading and unloading a breeze. Again, this is a feature that demonstrates the commitment of the Cube Series folks to doing things different (and better!) so you have an improved outdoor experience.

cube series interior

In terms of construction, this camper is ahead of the curve. The body is built from vacuum-bonded infused resin and fiberglass with a high-density foam core, supported by aluminum and steel. That means it’s not only super lightweight (starting at just 1,206 lbs) but also extremely tough, waterproof, and insulated for true four-season use.

Even collapsed, the camper stands just 52” tall—low enough to fit in most garages. But once it’s set up, you’ve got a full 78” of interior height and 88” of usable space in both width and length. Combine that with features like a 2-burner stove, water heater, 18,000 BTU furnace, and even optional solar packages or a cassette toilet, and you’ve got a fully self-contained adventure rig that doesn’t need to compromise.

cube series 7

Whether you’re running a Tacoma or a full-size truck, this camper fits a wide range of pickups. And thanks to its lightweight build and low profile, it won’t hold you back when you want to get off the beaten path.

While the Cube Series Camper is definitely impressive and worth a closer look when you’re at Overland West, the Cube Series Trailer is what completely changed the game for me. In terms of small-format overland trailers, there’s simply nothing else on the market that touches it—not in livable space, not in technology, and certainly not in design.

cube-series-trailer-charging-rivian-close up

This thing is, hands-down, one of the most impressive pieces of gear I’ve seen in years—and I don’t say that lightly. I featured it in my roundup of the Best EV Camping Trailers of 2025 for a reason: it’s lightweight, compact, off-grid capable, and—get this—you can charge your EV directly from the trailer’s solar roof. That’s right. You’re looking at a next-gen overland trailer that’s not only made in the USA but also designed with electric vehicle compatibility at the forefront.

From the outside, the Cube trailer looks sleek and compact. But the magic is when it’s unfolded. Thanks to a patent-pending automated folding wall system, this trailer transforms from a towable compact form (just over 17 feet in length, base weight 2,730 lbs) into a spacious, four-season-ready overlanding suite in a matter of minutes. It’s the kind of setup that turns heads—and for good reason.

Cube Series Trailer with open door

What’s especially remarkable is how the Cube Series team managed to pack so much utility and comfort into such a manageable footprint. The walls, roof, and tub are all made of vacuum-bonded infused fiberglass with an aluminum substructure, giving it incredible strength without unnecessary weight. It’s engineered for durability and meant to withstand everything from wind-whipping desert storms to snowy backcountry nights.

Inside, the trailer is surprisingly spacious. You get an interior height of 7’7” when fully opened, and nearly 10 feet in exterior height on the off-road model. The layout includes an L-shaped dinette that converts into an 80” sleeper, full kitchenette with a two-burner stove and glass-top sink, and even a built-in microwave and 3 cubic foot refrigerator/freezer combo. The synthetic leather upholstery and thermofoil countertops add a clean, modern look without sacrificing durability, too.

Cube Series Trailer Inside

For extended trips, the Cube Series trailer gives you everything you need. It has a 25-gallon fresh water tank, 25-gallon gray tank, and an optional cassette toilet. The 19,000 BTU furnace and 1.7-gallon 12V water heater are standard, and you can upgrade to a Truma Comfort Plus on-demand hot water system if you want that next-level comfort. There’s also an exterior shower, winterization system, heated holding tanks, and a built-in DC-to-DC charger so you can power up your batteries from your tow vehicle.

Now, let’s get into the power setup. One of the biggest differentiators is the Cube Series’ off-grid capabilities. You can option your trailer with up to (2) 360 AH lithium battery system, 1140 watts of solar, and a 2000-watt inverter/charger with monitoring. That means you can stay off-grid longer—and, yes, as I mentioned earlier, keep your EV charged while you’re at it. For folks running electric vehicles or just looking for more energy independence, this is a total game-changer.

Cube Series Trailer Side

And the Cube Series Trailer isn’t just about power—it’s also about convenience. From keyless entry to fold-down glow steps with a matching handrail, the Cube Series trailer is as user-friendly as it is trail-ready. Even the windows are thoughtfully designed—they’re large, lightweight acrylic panels with built-in pleated shades and screens for airflow and privacy.

What really sealed it for me, though, was the feel of the space. When you’re inside the Cube Series trailer, it doesn’t feel like a typical overland setup. It feels more like a high-end tiny home that just happens to be ready for anything you throw at it—mud, snow, sand, or rock. That’s a rare combination to find in a trailer that’s still towable by a mid-size SUV or pickup.

Cube Series Trailer with Truck

There are certainly a lot of exciting brands at Overland Expo West this year, but Cube Series is the one that keeps me talking. They’ve reimagined what a modern adventure setup can look like—whether you’re a weekend warrior, a full-time traveler, or an EV owner who wants something more forward-thinking.

cube series overland west map

If you’re coming to Overland Expo West, make Booth E24 a non-negotiable stop on your itinerary (as you come into the Expo, take a right at the 23 Zero booth and head to the end of the aisle).

Cube Series has built something extraordinary, and seeing it in person really puts it all into perspective. It’s one thing to read about innovative design and off-grid tech, but when you step inside their camper or trailer, how well does it all come together? That’s the moment you realize you’re looking at the future of overlanding.

So swing by Overland West, check it out, ask questions, and prepare to be impressed. I know I was!

Denali Campers

denali campers xtr-10 in joshua tree

When I met up with the Denali Campers crew in Joshua Tree recently, I knew I’d stumbled upon something special. These trailers aren’t just built—they’re engineered with purpose.

Designed and manufactured in the USA, Denali Campers highlights the kind of craftsmanship and real-world experience that overlanders crave (which is part of the reason I featured Denali Campers on my list of the Best Off-Road Teardrops of 2025). Their two models—the XTR-10 and the all-new XTR-6—showcase an impressive balance of durability, practicality, and comfort—a perfect combination, if you ask me!

So, if you’re heading to Overland Expo West, why is this a brand you shouldn’t miss? Let’s discuss!

Denali Campers XTR-10

Starting with the Denali Campers XTR-10, this isn’t just a rugged off-road trailer—it’s a home on wheels that showcases what you actually need in the wild. With smart design choices throughout, this squaredrop trailer strikes a near-perfect balance between capability and comfort.

At the heart of the XTR-10 is a galvanized steel chassis with a lifetime warranty—a rugged backbone that’s ready for punishing terrain. For example, the Cruisemaster DO35 articulating hitch and Cruisemaster independent off-road suspension provide confidence when towing across ruts, rocks, and remote trails. Meanwhile, the 22” of ground clearance and Falken Wildpeak A/T4 285/70R17 tires mounted on black aluminum rims give it an aggressive stance and real off-grid capability.

denali campers xtr-10 in the desert

An ARK XO750 off-road tongue jack, rear ARK XO corner steadies, and a pivoting spare tire rack with an integrated 2″ receiver add even more versatility when you’re setting up camp or hauling extra gear. In other words, this is a rock-solid trailer that’s purpose-built for the toughest off-road trips.

The interior of the XTR-10 is proof that the Denali Campers team understands what life is like on the road—or off it. The 7’2” cabin length offers plenty of space to stretch out on the 60×78 tri-fold memory foam mattress, while the fully insulated R9-rated composite panels in the walls, roof, and floor make this trailer a true four-season performer. There are two entry doors, one on each side, and acrylic windows with built-in shades and screens, ensuring great ventilation and privacy.

denali campers xtr-10 cabin interior

Creature comforts include a Truma VarioHeat propane heater with digital controls, a MaxxFan Deluxe roof vent, and a Redarc control display that ties together your trailer’s tech. You’ll also find LED ceiling and reading lights, USB/12V/120V outlets, and large PVC storage cabinets that make it easy to stay organized and powered up wherever you roam.

denali campers xtr-10 galley in desert

Around back, the galley on the XTR-10 is both practical and packed with features. Cooking is handled by a pull-out Partner Steel 22” cooktop with windscreens, and cleanup is a breeze with the stainless steel sink with a folding glass top and on-demand hot water system with an impressive 38-gallon water tank. You also get a 75L dual-zone upright fridge that’s 12V powered and ready for extended outings.

Storage is generous, too, with deep PVC cabinets and drawers, and there’s even a folding aluminum prep table mounted to the rear galley door. Denali Campers’ design also includes LED galley lights and the same thoughtful outlet mix found inside the cabin.

And when it’s time to rinse off the dust? The XTR-10 has an outdoor hot shower integrated into a lockable side storage box—complete with a 23Zero pivot shower awning for privacy. Not bad, right?!

denali campers xtr-10 electronics

The XTR-10 runs on a powerful Redarc electrical system featuring dual display units and thoughtful, accessible wiring housed in a front aluminum storage box. A robust Epoch 300Ah lithium battery anchors the system, and is supported by a 30A MPPT controller, a 30A battery charger, and a 2000-watt inverter.

The roof comes standard with a 100-watt solar panel, and Denali pre-wires the trailer for expansion with additional panels and an Anderson plug for vehicle charging. Underbody red rock lights and exterior LED flood lights make after-dark setup and cooking easier while also boosting safety around camp. Like I said, the Denali Campers crew has thought of everything!

denali campers xtr-10 at camp with doors ajar

From its aluminum walk-on fenders and side steps to its front and side aluminum storage boxes, the XTR-10 is dialed in for real-world utility as well. A roof rack with four T-track crossbars lets you mount rooftop tents, solar, or recovery gear, and the MOLLE side racks are perfect for storing Rotopax or traction boards so everything you need is right there within arm’s reach.

Even little touches like the pre-wired 7-pin harness, manual parking brake, and solid aluminum skid plate protecting the water tank show that Denali Campers doesn’t cut corners. The XTR-10 is truly a trailer that anticipates your needs, not just your destination.

denali campers xtr-6 front left

Meanwhile, the XTR-6 may be the smaller sibling in Denali’s lineup, but it shares the same DNA of thoughtful design and rugged capability. This compact expedition trailer is perfect for solo adventurers or minimalist couples looking for a streamlined solution without sacrificing features.

Like the XTR-10, the XTR-6 rides on a galvanized steel chassis with Cruisemaster suspension and a DO35 articulating hitch. Its 21” of ground clearance and Wildpeak A/T4 tires on 17” rims ensure it’s just as trail-ready as its larger counterpart. And at just 1,750 lbs dry, the XTR-6 is easy to tow with mid-size SUVs and crossovers.

denali campers xtr-6 galley slide-out

Despite its compact footprint, the XTR-6 boasts a well-engineered kitchen, including a Partner Steel 22” cooktop, 75L upright fridge, solid surface countertop, and on-demand hot water for both the sink and rear outdoor shower with an impressive 30-gallon water tank. The galley is also thoughtfully lit with LEDs and equipped with ample outlets to power all your gear.

Inside, the XTR-6 doesn’t offer a traditional sleeping area—but that’s by design. Instead, it provides 25 cubic feet of secure interior storage, with dual side access doors, textured fiberglass flooring, and LED lighting throughout. Whether you’re hauling photography gear, climbing equipment, or hunting supplies, the XTR-6 keeps everything protected and organized.

denali campers xtr-6 electronics

The electronics in the XTR-6 are powered by a Redarc system, an Epoch 300Ah lithium battery, a 1000-watt inverter, and a roof-mounted solar panel—with expansion available via pre-wired plugs. The aluminum roof rack with T-track crossbars mirrors the setup of the XTR-10, offering extra cargo space up top for those adventures that require a lot of gear.

Just like its bigger sibling, the XTR-6 features dual lockable side doors, underbody rock lighting, flood lights, and multiple aluminum storage boxes with built-in shower functionality. There’s even a MOLLE rack for mounting recovery gear or fuel cans.

denali campers xtr-6 storage

Denali Campers isn’t just building off-road trailers—they’re building trust in the overland community, one adventure-ready unit at a time. With the XTR-10, they’ve created a fully capable, full-featured off-road home on wheels. And with the XTR-6, they’ve delivered a compact, gear-hauling trailer for folks who like to travel light but demand quality.

Both of these rigs are worth checking out in person at Overland Expo West (find them at Booth R6 on your left as you enter the expo grounds). Believe me—you’ll immediately understand why Denali Campers is a brand to watch in 2025!

Arkto Campers

arkto campers with 4runner in desert

Trust me—if you’re serious about overland travel, Arkto Campers is a must-see at Overland Expo West. These folks are bringing one of the most thoughtfully designed, off-road-capable, and comfort-packed trailers on the market: the Arkto Campers G12. This isn’t just another box on wheels. It’s a rugged, intelligently built travel trailer purpose-built for those of us who actually get off the pavement and want to stay there—comfortably—for days or even weeks at a time.

Let’s start with what matters to overlanders most: capability.

arkto campers with green ram

The G12 is built for tough terrain. It rides on a galvanized steel frame that’s laser-cut and designed to last a lifetime (well, technically, 75 years). That’s paired with a Timbren Axle-less HD suspension system with a 4” lift, so it doesn’t just look off-road ready—it actually performs.

Combine that with 285/70R17 all-terrain tires, electric brakes, a Max Coupler tri-axis hitch, and 21 inches of ground clearance at the chassis, and you’re looking at a trailer that’s more than capable of keeping up with your rig, no matter how remote your destination. What’s more, the undercarriage is armored with aluminum and composite protection, so you don’t have to stress about gouging critical systems on rocks or rough trails. In other words, this is a trailer you can take deep into the backcountry without hesitation.

arkto campers in mountains

Most trailers eventually show signs of water damage or structural fatigue. But Arkto Campers has taken a no-compromises approach here…

The all-composite body with structural sandwich panels and integrated aluminum reinforcement tubes not only makes the trailer lighter—it also makes it immune to the kind of mold, mildew, and rot that plague wood-framed competitors. Even the interior cabinetry is laser-cut and powder-coated aluminum, designed for zero warping and zero water damage. This kind of build quality isn’t just tough—it’s smart.

arkto campers awning

One of my personal favorite features of the G12—and a big reason why you need to see it at the show—is the outdoor kitchen. This is no afterthought or flimsy slide-out; it’s a purpose-built cooking setup designed by people who know the importance of a good meal at the end of a long trail day.

You’ve got a dual-burner stove (12,400 BTU) with a windscreen, a deep stainless sink with hot/cold water, a 12 cu. ft. pantry, and a massive slide-out 75L dual-zone fridge/freezer. There are cutlery and spice drawers, USB and 110V outlets, and even a dedicated prep deck. Whether you’re whipping up burgers for your crew or making a backcountry pasta night happen, this kitchen delivers. It’s incredibly functional, and more importantly—it’s enjoyable to use.

arkto campers interior

Inside, the G12 continues to impress. You get 6’8” of standing height, so no ducking required (unless you’re really tall). The layout includes a residential queen bed, a dinette with bench seating that converts into a second sleeping space, and enough cabinetry and cubbies to actually stay organized. There’s even an indoor/outdoor accessible portable toilet, a MaxxFan Deluxe roof fan, and canvas pop-up roof windows for extra ventilation and light.

The interior materials feel premium and are built for durability. The laser-cut aluminum cabinetry isn’t just beautiful; it’s also practical in all climates. You’ll find 25 cubic feet of internal storage, too, bringing the total to a class-leading 105 cubic feet, rivaling trailers much larger than the G12.

arkto campers storage

Arkto Campers doesn’t just build trailers—they build systems that support long-term, off-grid living. Here’s an example: the G12 includes a 37-gallon fresh water tank, a Truma Combi furnace/water heater, and a full suite of electrical components. You get 2x100ah batteries, a shore power hookup, a solar charge controller, and a DC-DC system for charging while towing or parked. Optional upgrades let you scale up your experience significantly as well, including:

  • Lithium battery banks up to 960Ah
  • Inverter and solar arrays up to 1,000 watts
  • Heated water tanks
  • Truma air conditioning
  • Wrappon electric toilet
  • Extra bunk bed
  • Full 270-degree awning walls
  • And even a Starlink 12v conversion module

That means you can truly customize your G12 to match your style of travel—whether you’re chasing snow in the mountains or staying cool on a desert trail.

You can tell Arkto Campers’ team actually uses the trailers they build. The attention to detail, storage layout, materials, and rugged underpinnings reflect real-world use and real-world needs. It’s not just about looking cool at a campsite (though it does that too). It’s about durability, comfort, and practicality—without compromise.

Everything about the G12 is designed to get you further into the wild, let you stay longer, and keep you comfortable while you do it. And that’s the holy grail of overlanding, right?

There are going to be a lot of great rigs at Overland Expo West this year—but Arkto Campers is delivering something that stands apart. The G12 overland travel trailer hits that rare sweet spot between hard-core off-road capability, long-term livability, and intelligent design. It’s for overlanders who actually use their gear, who demand more than surface-level features, and who appreciate high-quality construction that doesn’t cut corners.

So yes, there will be bigger trailers and flashier campers at the show. But if you’re looking for something that balances rugged trail chops with real comfort and that you can tow with a properly equipped midsize truck or SUV, drop by Booth P67 to scope out the G12. You’ll get to see the build quality up close, walk through the cleverly laid-out interior, and maybe even imagine yourself prepping dinner in that outdoor kitchen while the sun sets over your favorite off-grid spot.

SNO Trailers

sno trailers alpine driving across mountain bridge

Every year, Overland Expo West rolls around and I get the same electric feeling walking through the gates—like a kid stepping into a toy store where everything runs on four wheels and isn’t afraid of dirt. It’s a place where the latest innovations in overlanding are front and center, and for gearheads and adventurers alike, it’s an unmatched experience. Another brand I’m absolutely itching to catch up with is SNO Trailers.

I’ve worked with the SNO Trailers team for a few years now, and if there’s one word I’d use to describe their approach, it’s overengineered—and I mean that in the best way possible.

sno trailers alpine kitchen sunset

Every curve, cut, bolt, and bracket is built with purpose and longevity in mind. When SNO Trailers says their rigs are built for true explorers, they’re not just tossing around marketing lingo—they’re delivering battle-tested gear made to survive the harshest trails and still look good doing it.

This year, my eyes are locked on one model in particular: The Alpine. It’s the crown jewel in SNO’s already impressive lineup, and it’s packed to the frame rails with features that elevate it into a category of its own.

sno trailers alpine at mountain lake

First impressions matter, and the Alpine makes one hell of a statement the moment you lay eyes on it. Built on a powder-coated steel frame with a lightweight aluminum body, it combines strength and durability with a sleek, modern aesthetic. This thing isn’t just a tank—it’s a well-dressed tank.

What really gets me, though, is the level of thought that goes into the design…

sno trailers alpine mountain camping at lake

The Alpine features a proprietary anti-rust base coating, which is critical for those of us who frequently find ourselves splashing through muddy river crossings or parked in salty desert windstorms. It rolls on 17” Method wheels wrapped in 275/70/R17 all-terrain tires, and if you want even more capability, there’s an optional Fabtech long-travel suspension upgrade that brings real articulation to your off-road game.

Add in the Timbren suspension, a 40-degree departure angle, and a dry weight of just 1,500 lbs, and you’ve got a trailer that punches far above its class while being light enough to tow with a wide range of rigs.

sno trailers alpine nose box

SNO Trailers has always nailed the functional details, and the Alpine is no exception. One of my favorite touches is the utility box with an integrated notch for recovery boards. This kind of foresight is what makes SNO Trailers stand out: they’re not building trailers for mall-crawlers—they’re building them for people who actually get out there and use them.

A custom laser-cut panel with an integrated charging port, premium SNO decals, and options for additional mounts—from MAXTRAX to RotopaX, to awning and shower brackets—let you tailor the Alpine for exactly how you camp.

And the SNORAC roof rack is ready for anything from rooftop tents to solar panels to kayaks. It’s a blank canvas for your adventure gear!

Sno Trailers Alpine Galley

Let’s be real: food is a big part of any good trip, and the Alpine’s kitchen setup is dialed in. A stainless steel pull-out kitchen anchors the layout, complete with a full-width storage tray and the Wide Body Kit, which includes two modular side boxes.

One of the boxes houses three internal drawers, stainless steel surfaces, USB ports, and a Switch-Pros panel. The second box mirrors that functionality, making for an incredibly user-friendly experience. This is the kind of layout that cuts down on setup time and lets you get straight to cooking after a long day on the trail.

Need a place to keep your food fresh? The Alpine’s cooler tray can accommodate up to a 75L fridge or powered cooler—so no more soggy sandwiches or warm drinks. Everything is easy to reach, well-lit, and logically laid out. SNO Trailers even integrates MOLLE panels into the side doors, adding yet another level of adaptability for those of us who love keeping our tools and accessories organized.

sno trailers alpine in the woods

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that your electrical system is only as good as its weakest link. With the Alpine, that’s not a concern. The rig comes with a Renogy 100Ah AGM battery, paired with a Renogy solar charge controller, battery monitor, and NOCO Genius battery charger. There’s also a dedicated external solar plug for topping off your system under the sun.

SNO Trailers includes USB ports on both sides, a protective removable electronics cover, and Switch-Pros panels for seamless control. This is the kind of plug-and-play power setup that lets you run lights, fans, fridges, or even laptops without giving it a second thought.

Want to upgrade? The Alpine is ready for a second battery, inverter, or even more advanced electronics packages, all offered by SNO Trailers. Not bad, right?!

sno trailers baja with white utv

While the Alpine might be the star of the show at Overland Expo West 2025, it’s not the only SNO Trailers model worth getting excited about…

If you prioritize lightweight agility but still want a capable and rugged build, the SNO Trailers Baja is an exceptional option. Designed to be pulled behind a UTV, side-by-side, or small SUV, the Baja weighs just 800 pounds and is ideal for those who want to travel light without sacrificing capability. Whether you opt for the standard Timbren suspension or upgrade to Fabtech, the Baja is trail-ready and tough enough for serious off-road use.

SNO Trailers Recon rear view

If you need something even more compact, the Recon and Remington R-.410 are purpose-built for quad and UTV users who want maximum maneuverability with minimal weight. Both models come in at just 600 pounds and are incredibly nimble on tight trails.

The Recon offers just the essentials in a minimalist package, while the R-.410 is a hunting trailer built with an all-aluminum body and just enough room for a one-person tent—perfect for solo adventures deep into the backcountry.

sno trailers r-20 at camp

Then there’s the Remington R-20, a versatile trailer with a dry weight of 800 pounds that strikes a nice balance between size and capability. Designed for UTVs and small trucks, it features a durable aluminum body and steel frame, and supports a two-person tent—making it a great choice for weekend getaways.

But if you’re looking for something even more trail-capable and roomy, the Remington R-12 is where it’s at. With a dry weight of 1,500 pounds, optional Fabtech suspension, and room for a four-person tent, it’s built to tackle harsh terrain while still delivering a comfortable camping experience. The R-12 is a fantastic option for those who drive trucks or Jeeps and want a trailer that’s equal parts rugged and refined.

sno trailers alpine with jeep gladiator

Part of why I love working with SNO Trailers is the people behind the brand. They’re based in Southern California, and they’re not some massive corporation trying to churn out units—they’re craftspeople. Builders. Enthusiasts who live and breathe this stuff just like we do.

They don’t just want to sell you a trailer—they want to work with you to create something unique. Their trailers are fully equipped, top-of-the-line machines, but they’ll still work with you to tailor it exactly to your needs. Whether you’re a weekend warrior or a full-time overlander, they’ve got a solution that fits your lifestyle.

Overland Expo West is full of cool gear, innovative rigs, and passionate builders. But for me, one brand always rises to the top—and in 2025, I’ll be making a beeline to the SNO Trailers booth to check out the Alpine in person, catch up with the crew, and maybe even dream up a few custom mods of my own.

If you’re looking for a rugged, thoughtfully designed, American-made overland trailer that refuses to compromise, SNO Trailers has you covered. Check them out at Booth B4!

Timberleaf Trailers

timberleaf classic off-road in utah

From the heart of Colorado’s high desert comes a teardrop trailer unlike any other—one that combines old-world craftsmanship with modern overland utility.

Timberleaf Trailers began in 2015, not as a business, but as a personal project from the workshop of Army veteran and master woodworker Kevin Molick. A lifelong artisan in fine furniture and historic home restoration, Kevin set out to build a trailer that could explore the rugged landscapes of the West without sacrificing the warmth and comfort of home. That vision became the Timberleaf Classic.

Since then, Timberleaf has grown into a respected name among off-road and road trip enthusiasts alike, with each trailer handcrafted in Grand Junction, Colorado. From the rounded silhouette of the Classic to the compact Pika and ultralight Kestrel, every model reflects a philosophy rooted in craftsmanship, simplicity, and timeless design. These are just a few reasons why I featured Timberleaf Trailers on my list of best off-road teardrops in 2024 and again in 2025.

timberleaf classic in desert with subaru

Under the leadership of Tom Pesek—an electrical engineer with an eye for precision and innovation—Timberleaf is moving forward with purpose. Pesek’s approach combines smart upgrades in power systems and production with a deep respect for the woodworking traditions that made the brand special in the first place. Today, Timberleaf continues to honor its origin story while evolving to meet the needs of modern adventurers.

At the center of Timberleaf’s lineup is the Classic—a teardrop trailer that pays tribute to the golden era of American road trips while embracing today’s off-grid demands. Tipping the scales at just 1,500 pounds dry, the Classic is light enough to tow with ease yet built tough enough to go beyond the pavement.

timberleaf classic 5

Three available suspension packages let you match the trailer to your travel style. The Standard Package rolls on retro-style round fenders and classic 15″ trailer tires, perfect for highways and scenic byways. The All-Road Package steps it up with 30″ all-terrain tires, electric brakes, and Timbren axle-less suspension—ideal for backroads and fire trails. And for those who seek the wildest corners of the map, the Off-Road Package includes a 4″ lift, 33″ BFGoodrich KO2 tires, rock armor, and a Max Coupler articulating hitch.

But what truly sets the Timberleaf Classic apart is what’s inside…

timberleaf trailers classic galley

The rear galley isn’t just a tailgate kitchen—it’s a compact hub for cooking built for serious camp chefs. With a stainless steel sink, optional 17.5-gallon water system, dedicated stove slide, and clever storage compartments, everything is designed for ease of use and durability. Optional upgrades like a Partner Steel 2-burner stove and a locking fridge tray bring added function to your outdoor meals.

timberleaf classic 6

Step inside the Classic and you’ll find more than just a bed—you’ll find one of the largest skylights in any teardrop trailer, casting starlight across a custom-built Colorado Queen mattress. Fully insulated birch-paneled walls keep the cabin warm in cold weather and cool in the summer. Hidden cubbies, folding wood shelves, and clean cabinetry maximize the cozy interior space, making it feel more like a cabin than a camper.

Big Slack Off-Road

big slack slacklander 2

If you’re heading to Overland Expo West, do yourself a favor and make a beeline for Big Slack Off-Road. You’ll thank me later…

These guys aren’t just another trailer company trying to capitalize on the overlanding boom. They’ve been out there living it long before hashtags and rooftop tents went mainstream. The result? The ultimate micro expedition trailer built by real off-roaders, for real off-roaders — and that difference shows in every weld, latch, and detail on their flagship model, the Slacklander Overland Trailer and their new compact trailers, the Slack Wagon and Slack Wagon Junior.

big slack slacklander 1

I’ve seen a lot of overland trailers over the years. Some are flashy but flimsy. Others are overbuilt to the point of excess weight and complexity. The Slacklander strikes that sweet spot: rugged, lightweight, purpose-built, and refreshingly practical.

Let’s get into what makes this rig so special — and why Big Slack Off-Road deserves a top spot on your must-see list at Overland Expo West.

Big Slack Off-Road didn’t start in a boardroom with CAD files and spreadsheets. It started on the trail, with people who were pushing trucks, side-by-sides, and ATVs to their limits — and often beyond. The folks behind Big Slack have broken just about every aftermarket part you can imagine. That’s not a failure. That’s research. They’ve lived the frustrations and breakdowns and said, “We can do better.” The Slacklander is their answer.

And they didn’t just design a trailer that could handle the terrain. They built one that thrives in it…

big slack slacklander with landcruiser

The Slacklander Overland Trailer tips the scales at just 1,500 lbs empty. That’s light enough to tow with almost any mid-size SUV, Jeep, or off-road rig — even some crossovers — and it still handles up to 1,000 lbs of payload in its base configuration. That’s a serious amount of capacity for a trailer this compact.

At its core is a 6″ channel steel frame — no gimmicks, no shortcuts. It’s the kind of construction you’d expect from a rock crawler, not a compact overland trailer. Underneath, a 2,200 lb Timbren axle system with brakes keeps things smooth and controlled, even when the terrain isn’t. The setup is ideal for technical trails, washboard roads, and steep inclines where lesser trailers would be bouncing or breaking apart.

The main box measures 6 feet long, 4 feet wide, and 3 feet tall. That might sound modest, but don’t let the numbers fool you. Every inch of the Slacklander is thoughtfully laid out for real-world use.

big slack slacklander 3

Take the massive front drawer, for instance. It’s large enough to house a 12V fridge or a pair of full-sized coolers. That means your cold drinks, fresh food, or meal-prep essentials are right where you need them — and secure. The steel body is lined with wood on the inside, adding warmth, insulation, and structure for storing gear without it banging around on rough trails.

The track width has been carefully dialed in to match most mid-size SUVs and Jeeps, so you’re not dragging a trailer tire through brush or scraping the sidewalls on every boulder. The Slacklander follows your tow rig’s path — no guessing required.

Swing open the rear hatch, and you’ll find the Slacklander’s kitchen area, a space that’s both simple and smart. There’s room for an optional stove and sink, plus additional space for food prep and storage. No need to fumble with separate camp tables or balance your Jetboil on a rock — everything is right there, ready to go.

Whether you’re whipping up breakfast burritos at sunrise or refueling with some trail tacos at the end of the day, this kitchen setup makes cooking easy, fast, and enjoyable. And if you’ve ever spent a rainy evening trying to make dinner out of the back of a truck bed, you know how valuable that is.

big slack slacklander 4

Big Slack Off-Road didn’t cut corners on lighting, either. LED tail lights, reverse lights, and interior lights come standard — so whether you’re backing into a tight campsite or rummaging through gear after dark, you’ve got full visibility. They even added dedicated rock lights to illuminate the ground around the trailer. That’s a feature you’ll appreciate every time you need to step outside in the middle of the night or help a friend who’s stuck and needs some recovery.

Speaking of recovery, the Slacklander includes four tie-downs/recovery points, perfect for securing your load or getting creative when the trail throws you a curveball. The latches on every door are over-cam style, locking tightly to keep out water, mud, and prying hands — because security and weatherproofing aren’t just “nice to haves” in the backcountry.

The Slacklander is a true multi-tool for overlanders. The stand-on fenders aren’t just tough — they’re functional, letting you climb up and easily secure gear, fuel, or storage boxes. And if you’re planning to mount a rooftop tent, you’re already covered. The trailer’s frame and design can easily accommodate a RTT setup, creating a versatile basecamp that’s as nimble as it is comfortable.

big slack slacklander 5

A capable off-road trailer starts with ground clearance and articulation, and the Slacklander delivers on both. An optional articulating hitch ensures smooth movement over uneven terrain, giving your rig the ability to twist and turn without binding or stressing the trailer.

Combined with the high-clearance design, matched track width, and lightweight chassis, the Slacklander is confident in the backcountry — not just on gravel roads but on rock-strewn climbs and washed-out descents, too.

But don’t think that Big Slack Off-Road is a one-trick pony because it isn’t. In addition to the Slacklander, the folks at Big Slack have developed the Slack Wagon and Slack Wagon Junior, two ultralight, compact off-road trailers.

big slack off-road slack wagon 2

The Big Slack Off-Road Slack Wagon is built for serious adventurers who need a reliable, rugged trailer that’s ready to go wherever the trail leads. With a generous 6.5-foot-long bed and a 48.5-inch-wide interior, this off-road hauler provides ample space for gear, tools, or even a rooftop tent setup. Its total width of 74 inches from fender to fender keeps it stable, too, while still compact enough for tight trails.

At the heart of the Slack Wagon’s off-road prowess is its 3500 lb. Timbren axleless suspension with electric brakes. This setup delivers exceptional handling and a smooth ride over rough terrain. The trailer also features a 30-inch tapered front platform that’s ideal for mounting a spare tire, toolbox, or other custom attachments.

Weighing in at just 900 lbs (for the base configuration), the Slack Wagon offers an impressive 2000-pound payload capacity. Four recovery/tie-down points underneath the trailer provide practical versatility for off-road recovery or cargo security. Add-ons like a lock & roll hitch, aluminum wheels, 18” roof racks, Trex floor, and a front basket add both utility and style as well.

big slack off-road slack wagon 1

Every Slack Wagon is built to order, and you can choose your own powder coat color from Columbia Coatings or stick with the signature tan. After you place an order, the team personally calls to review your build sheet and get your custom trailer into production. Not bad, right?!

With a GVWR of 3,000 lbs, a 3-year structural warranty, and $500 off if you order at a show, the Slack Wagon is the ultimate companion for off-road explorers who want durability, flexibility, and standout performance.

Of course, you might find that the Slack Wagon Junior is more your style…

big slack off-road slack wagon junior 2

Don’t let the size fool you—the Slack Wagon Junior is a rugged little hauler with serious off-road chops. As the smaller sibling to the Slack Wagon, the Junior packs versatility and toughness into a compact footprint, making it ideal for side-by-sides, ATVs, or even light overland setups.

With a 31″ x 60″ bed and an overall width of just 57 inches, the Junior is easy to maneuver through narrow trails while still offering enough space to carry essential gear. The bed is perfectly sized to hold three 17-gallon totes—readily available at most hardware stores—making organized packing a breeze.

big slack off-road slack wagon junior 3

Weighing in at only 500 lbs, the Junior offers a 1200 lb GVWR, giving you a solid payload for its size. The premium Timbren axleless suspension ensures a smooth ride even when the trail gets rough, while the swing-down rear tailgate makes loading and unloading hassle-free.

The Slack Wagon Junior comes with four recovery/tie-down points at each corner, adding versatility for both gear security and trail recovery. Optional racks let you mount rooftop tents, bike racks, or cargo boxes, turning the Junior into a true multipurpose adventure trailer. You can also choose from useful add-ons like a lock & roll hitch, spare tire, DOT tires/wheels, and more.

big slack off-road slack wagon junior 1

Whether you’re hitting the trail behind a side-by-side or cruising down the road, the Slack Wagon Junior is street-legal and adventure-ready. Compact, customizable, and easy to tow, it’s the perfect off-road companion for those who value simplicity and performance in a lightweight package.

big slack slacklander 6

Now, obviously, there are a lot of trailer manufacturers out there. What sets Big Slack Off-Road apart — and what makes them a can’t-miss stop at Overland Expo West — is that they actually live the life. These are the kind of people who were out on remote trails and desert washes long before overlanding had a name. They’ve tested gear until it broke. They’ve ridden side-by-sides through canyons and hauled gear into places where maps stop working.

And when it came time to build these trailers, they didn’t start with marketing — they started with a welder.

The result is something that doesn’t just look rugged — these trailers are rugged. Something that doesn’t just check boxes on a spec sheet — they solve real problems, in real conditions, for real people.

MORRFlate

morrflate tensix psi pro gen 2 on hood

What started as a personal project to avoid constantly kneeling by tires during off-road adventures has evolved into one of the most innovative, community-driven brands in the overlanding world. MORRFlate isn’t just about making tire inflation easier—it’s about changing the way we think about trail preparedness, convenience, and efficiency.

Back in 2016, MORRFlate’s founder was just like many of us—tired of fumbling with clunky inflation tools and dealing with worn-out valve stems, broken fittings, and the hassle of airing up after every off-road trip. After dealing with sharp hose clamps, broken parts, and endless squatting by each tire, he set out to build something better.

That pursuit led to the development of the first MORRFlate multi-tire inflation and deflation kits—a system designed to simplify the process and eliminate the pain points many off-roaders had simply accepted as “part of the process.”

morrflate tensix psi pro gen2 close up

Fast forward to today, and MORRFlate has become a trailblazer in off-road air management systems. By combining high-quality materials, intelligent design, and practical innovation, they’ve created a system that’s faster, safer, and easier to use than traditional methods.

One of the reasons MORRFlate stands out is the authenticity behind the brand. This isn’t a faceless company built in a boardroom—it’s a small business born on the trails.

morrflate tensix psi pro gen 2 with multi hose control

The team has grown from a one-man operation to a fully incorporated company with a warehouse, employees, and a passionate community of users. And through it all, MORRFlate has stayed true to its roots, staying deeply involved with local trail maintenance and donating over $45,000 to 4×4 clubs and advocacy groups like Cal4Wheel, TLCA, and CORVA.

If you’re at Overland West to connect with brands that give back to the community, MORRFlate should be at the top of your list. Their presence at this year’s event is more than just an opportunity to see their products—it’s a chance to meet a team that actively supports the trails you love to explore!

morrflate tensix psi pro gen 2 in snow

At the heart of MORRFlate’s lineup is their flagship product—the TenSix PSI Pro Gen 2 Portable Air Compressor. This beast is more than just powerful—it’s smart. With PSI Pro™ technology and Gen 2 upgrades, it offers an intuitive, set-it-and-forget-it operation that lets you program your desired tire pressure, hit a button, and let the system handle the rest. No more squatting by tires. No more monitoring gauges. Just press Go and relax.

When paired with MORRFlate’s signature 4-Tire Inflation & Deflation™ Kit, the TenSix can fill four 35” tires from 10 to 40 PSI in under five minutes. That’s not a typo—five minutes, start to finish, and you’re back on the road or trail.

airing up with morrflate tensix psi pro gen2 on side of road

What makes it even more impressive is how it solves a problem most people don’t realize exists. Standard tire valve stems with Schrader valves only allow around 2 CFM of air flow per tire. That means high-CFM compressors often get bottlenecked when inflating tires one at a time. MORRFlate’s 4-Tire Kit unlocks the full potential of compressors like the TenSix, which delivers a monstrous 10.6 CFM at 0 PSI—over 300% faster than many competitors when used efficiently.

The Gen 2 upgrades also speak to MORRFlate’s attention to real-world details:

  • Stainless steel outlet hose for better heat dissipation

  • Redesigned aluminum heat sinks

  • Internal aluminum cylinders for improved thermal performance

  • Upgraded piston rings for longevity

  • Built-in purge valve and thermal cutoff switch for safety

With a beefy 80% duty cycle and included accessories like push-to-connect fittings and Groovy Gloves for safe handling, the TenSix is clearly built for rugged reliability.

What also sets MORRFlate apart—and why their booth is a must-see at Overland West 2025—is their unwavering dedication to customer service. In an industry where support can be lackluster, MORRFlate delivers fast, personal responses whether you’re troubleshooting a compressor or customizing a setup for your rig.

They don’t outsource support or push hidden fees—they partner with you. If you lose a part in the mud, need help with compatibility, or just have a question about maximizing efficiency, they’re ready to help. That kind of commitment is rare—and it’s why so many loyal customers return again and again.

HEST

hest foamy wide mattress rolled up

If there’s one thing every overlander, adventurer, or weekend camper has in common, it’s the ongoing pursuit of a good night’s sleep in the great outdoors.

At this year’s Overland West, one company stands out for tackling this challenge head-on: HEST. With a mission rooted in revolutionizing how we sleep outdoors, HEST has become the go-to name for high-performance, comfort-driven sleep solutions designed specifically for life beyond the pavement.

From the very beginning, HEST was never just about mattresses and pillows—it was about solving a real problem that every adventurer can relate to: waking up stiff, sore, and sleep-deprived in a tent, truck bed, or rooftop setup. As they put it, “Thinking about sleep… kept us up at night.” That introspective honesty is what led to a bold and refreshing approach: bring the comfort of home to the rugged outdoors.

hest foamy wide mattress review

What makes HEST different from the countless other sleep brands out there? It starts with their obsessive attention to materials, design, and real-world performance. They didn’t just repurpose a foam pad and call it a camping mattress—they engineered every layer, seam, and function with the realities of off-grid adventure in mind.

Their flagship product, the HEST Foamy, is proof of their commitment to building sleep systems that actually work, whether you’re camped at 10,000 feet or parked deep in the desert. Featuring dual-layer enhanced memory foam, the Foamy delivers comfort that rivals many home mattresses. The plush top layer cradles your body while resisting temperature fluctuations, and the supportive bottom layer ensures your hips and shoulders aren’t digging into the ground.

hest foamy wide mattress with pillow

And they didn’t stop at just making it comfortable—they made it smart. From the integrated compression harness that doubles as a welcome mat to the side clips that allow two Foamys to link together, HEST packed this mattress with practical, field-tested features that matter. The R-Value of 8.8 also means this isn’t just a summer solution—it performs in cold climates, too. For overlanders who chase adventure year-round, that’s a serious advantage.

At Overland West, you’ll see plenty of tough gear, innovative rigs, and over-the-top setups—but very few brands offer the refined functionality that HEST does in such a compact, portable format. Every HEST product reflects a thoughtful design process aimed at solving common camping frustrations.

hest camp pillow sizes

Take their HEST Camp Pillow, for example. You might think it’s just a pillow, but it’s actually a finely-tuned blend of comfort, support, and adaptability. With a customizable loft, memory foam/polyester fill, and a contoured shape that cradles your neck, it offers the kind of sleep quality that changes how you feel in the morning. And like all of HEST’s gear, it’s built to handle dirt, water, and constant movement with a PU-coated cover and integrated stow system.

HEST also goes the extra mile by including washable covers, easy carry loops, and travel-minded construction across all their products. These aren’t luxury add-ons—they’re practical solutions that make life on the road more enjoyable.

hest-foamy-sleeping-pad

Overland West is a showcase for innovation and adventure, and HEST fits perfectly into both categories. While some brands focus on vehicles, others on gear or gadgets, HEST quietly fills a gap that is just as important as suspension systems or satellite communicators: rest and recovery.

After a long day of exploring trails, cooking at camp, and navigating rough terrain, sleep is what recharges us for the next leg of the journey. Without it, your experience is compromised—physically, mentally, and emotionally. HEST recognizes this, and their mission is about enhancing your outdoor experience by optimizing how you sleep.

hest overland west map

If you’re attending Overland West, the HEST booth (find them at Booth J4) should be on your shortlist. You’ll get to see, feel, and test their gear in person. You’ll also walk away with a better understanding of how sleep can—and should—be part of your overland planning. Plus, their gear looks sharp and performs in all weather, meaning it’ll fit in no matter your setup or travel style.

Bush Company USA

Bush Company LX27 LIfestyle 2

If you’re heading to Overland Expo West this year and rooftop tents are on your gear wish list, make sure Bush Company USA is on your list of vendors to visit.

Known for producing some of the most rugged, well-thought-out rooftop tents in the industry, Bush Company USA continues to push boundaries with innovation, comfort, and real-world durability. Whether you’re an overlanding veteran or just getting started, their 2025 tent lineup deserves your attention—and likely a spot on your rig.

Bush Company USA’s reputation for producing rooftop tents that thrive in harsh environments didn’t happen by accident. Built in South Africa, their tents are specifically engineered to handle the kind of conditions that can ruin lesser products—think high heat, sudden downpours, relentless UV exposure, and unpredictable wind gusts. The core structure of their tents features extruded aluminum frames and stainless steel fittings, delivering long-term reliability even in the roughest backcountry environments. If you want gear that holds up when the going gets tough, this is it.

Bush Company LX27 Side View

Let’s start with the LX27 Clamshell Rooftop Tent, one of the lightest and most compact rooftop tents currently available (which is why it’s on my list of the best rooftop tents of 2025). Weighing just 161 pounds, it’s the lightest option in Bush Company USA’s range—a huge plus if you’re conscious of your vehicle’s roof load limits. But what’s really impressive is how slim this tent is when closed: just 6.8 inches high. That low profile not only improves aerodynamics and fuel economy but also ensures compatibility with most garages and vehicle setups.

Despite its sleek dimensions, the LX27 doesn’t compromise on utility. You get 3.1 inches of storage space above the mattress when the tent is closed—enough to leave your bedding and pillows inside. Combine that with a sub-60-second setup time, and you’ve got a tent that makes your arrival at camp smoother and faster than ever.

Bush Company LX27 Load Bars 2

Comfort and convenience go hand-in-hand with the LX27. The tent includes a full electrical package, which means you can charge your devices, run lighting, and power small appliances—all built-in and ready to go. Inside, you’ll find double-skinned canvas walls for insulation and durability, as well as a dual-layer mattress that promises restful sleep, no matter the conditions outside. For solo adventurers and couples alike, the LX27 hits the sweet spot of light weight, durability, and real-world comfort.

bush company tx27 rear

If you’re looking for more space and luxury, Bush Company USA’s TX27 and TX27 Max are worth serious consideration (and are also on my list of 2025’s best rooftop tents). These hardshell rooftop tents are engineered with the same rugged DNA as the LX27 but offer additional space, features, and ventilation.

The TX27 features a 4-foot-7-inch width and includes 53 square feet of ventilation via six strategically placed doors and windows. Rainflies on the front, sides, and rear provide all-weather protection, while the 310gsm double-skin canvas keeps the interior insulated in both hot and cold environments. Add in the dual-layer 3.15-inch mattress, integrated LED lighting, and USB/CIG power sockets, and you’ve got a tent that feels more like a mobile bedroom than a basic shelter. Setup and takedown take just 90 seconds, making it one of the most efficient hardshells on the market.

bush company tx27 interior

Need even more space? Enter the TX27 Max—the flagship of the lineup. With a width of over 5 feet, the TX27 Max provides additional room for larger adventuring duos or families with a small child. It includes all the standout features of the TX27, including the 7.5-inch internal storage height for keeping bedding in place, and adds even more interior breathing room for longer, more comfortable stays off the grid.

Beyond just size and build quality, Bush Company USA’s tents are packed with thoughtful design features:

  • Internally reinforced roofs that support 165 pounds of load when closed—ideal for mounting gear like solar panels or storage cases—and 77 pounds when open.
  • Ezi-Slots built into the tent frame for easily mounting awnings, jacks, light bars, and other essential accessories.
  • 50-amp Anderson plug on the underside of the tent for seamless integration with your vehicle’s power system.
  • Abundant storage, including six roof-mounted pouches, side pouches at the hinged end, and bottle holders for keeping your essentials organized and within reach.
  • Thermal marine carpet beneath the mattress for added comfort and insulation.
  • A durable telescopic ladder for safe and easy access.

bush company tx27 side

There are a lot of rooftop tent options out there, but Bush Company USA stands apart because their products don’t just look good—they perform exceptionally in the real world. Whether you’re gearing up for a weekend in the mountains or a multi-week expedition across rugged terrain, these tents are built to endure, protect, and simplify your setup.

Between the ultra-slim, ultra-light LX27, the well-balanced and highly functional TX27, and the spacious, flagship TX27 Max, Bush Company USA offers something for every type of overlander.

Alaskan Campers

alaskan camper popped up on black ram

When you think of a truck camper that blends old-school craftsmanship with modern, off-grid capability, the Alaskan Camper Slide-In should immediately come to mind. Since 1957, Alaskan Campers has built a reputation for rugged reliability, timeless design, and innovative features that cater to serious adventurers. And this year at Overland West, they’re bringing that legacy front and center.

So, what makes an Alaskan Camper stand out in a sea of truck bed campers? Let’s dive into the key reasons why this rig deserves a stop on your Overland West tour.

alaskan camper on ram while driving

One of the most innovative features of the Alaskan Camper is its signature telescopic hard-sided design. While many campers go for bulky builds that catch wind and drain fuel, Alaskan keeps things aerodynamic. The camper compresses down while in transit—lowering your profile and reducing wind resistance for better fuel efficiency, quieter highway driving, and greater overall stability. Once you’re at camp, a simple hydraulic lift raises the roof, giving you full standing height and comfortable living space. It’s the best of both worlds—streamlined travel and spacious basecamp living.

alaskan camper on white gmc in desert

Alaskan Campers are designed for real off-road use, too—not just weekend campground warriors. With a dry weight between 1,500 and 2,500 pounds and models ranging from 6.5 to 10 feet, you’ll find a fit that suits everything from half-ton trucks to heavy-duty platforms. That means you can explore deeper into the backcountry without compromising on capability—or comfort.

And speaking of comfort, the camper’s R-13 spray foam insulation ensures it’s four-season ready. Add in the 20,000 BTU Suburban Forced Air Furnace and the optional Nomadic X2 12v air conditioner, and you’re set for anything from snowy mountains to sweltering deserts.

alaskan camper sitka interior

If you like to stay off the grid for extended periods, the Alaskan Camper comes equipped for serious independence. The standard power package is impressive: a 190W Zamp solar panel, an Expion360 162Ah lithium battery in a high-capacity GC2 format, and a 30 Amp IOTA converter. It also includes a REDARC DC-to-DC charger and a 2000W inverter—giving you full 110v capabilities even when you’re far from the nearest outlet.

Better yet, everything (except for propane appliances) runs off 12-volt power, keeping your system simple, efficient, and dependable. Optional solar and battery upgrades give even more flexibility for long-haul travelers or those who like to push deep into remote terrain.

alaskan camper klondike interior

Inside the camper, Alaskan doesn’t skimp on the details. A stainless steel sink, a Dometic two-burner stove, and an optional 3.5 cu. ft. Nova Kool fridge mean you can whip up meals with ease—whether you’re in the desert or high in the Rockies. Thoughtful storage is tucked into every corner, and customization options let you choose your trim colors and finishes to create a space that feels uniquely yours.

Need a bathroom setup? Alaskan offers multiple options to suit your preference, including composting toilets, cassette toilets, and both interior and exterior shower configurations. You don’t have to give up comfort to go remote.

alaskan camper on ram at night

A major benefit of choosing an Alaskan Camper is the flexibility it offers compared to bulkier RVs or fifth wheels. Since the camper sits in your truck bed, you still have full towing capability. That means you can bring along a boat, ATV trailer, or additional gear without sacrificing stability or maneuverability. It’s a perfect setup for overlanders who want a complete, mobile basecamp solution. Of course, you can opt for an Alaskan Campers flatbed camper, if that’s more your style!

alaskan campers flatbed in mountains 2

With over six decades of history, Alaskan Campers isn’t chasing trends—they’re building on a proven foundation. Every camper is hand-crafted in the USA with attention to detail, time-tested construction methods, and durable materials. The result? A camper built not just for your next trip, but for the next generation of adventurers, too.

Whether you’re planning your first long-distance overlanding adventure or you’re a seasoned off-grid traveler looking for a more comfortable solution, the Alaskan Camper Slide-In deserves your attention.
