Fans of natural cave systems and geology will be in awe of Cathedral Caverns State Park. The park is in the north of the state, close to Tennessee’s border, and has over 40 campsites. There is a two-night minimum during spring and summer, and you will want to make reservations well in advance since it’s not one of the biggest campgrounds in Alabama.
