In 2022, I signed up for Starlink so I could have high-speed internet when I’m on my overlanding adventures.
Now, obviously, the whole point of getting outdoors and off-grid is to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but when you’re an entrepreneur like me and have several businesses to run, sometimes work needs to come with you.
As I discuss in my video above, Starlink impressed me from the get-go, and it’s continued to be a fantastic solution for me to get work done when I need to, even when I’m in the middle of nowhere.
Over the last few months, I’ve gathered some accessories for Starlink that have made it even more functional and user-friendly. Today, I want to share what those Starlink accessories are and how they’ve changed my workflow.

Top Accessories for Starlink: Caseman Starlink Travel Case
As impressive as Starlink was right out of the box, the box it came in was equally as unimpressive…
When you’re mobile and have to pack and unpack Starlink every time you stop to set up camp, the simple cardboard box it came in quickly begins to show wear and tear. I’m not the kind of guy that just throws gear around willy-nilly, yet my Starlink box looked like something my kid beat with his plastic baseball bat.
Even a few months ago, there was no solution to this problem in terms of a rugged carrying case for Starlink. However, that’s all changed with the Caseman Starlink Travel Case.
If you’re unfamiliar with Caseman, these folks build high-quality cases specifically for applications like this. The Starlink Travel Case is water-resistant and rugged to provide the ultimate protection for your Starlink while you’re on the road.
As you can see in the photos above and below, this case is rigid and built like a tank to stand up to the rigors of overland adventures.
Inside, the case has a custom water jet cut polyethylene foam insert that cradles each component of the Starlink system. Just like the case, the foam insert is high-grade and extremely durable (thanks to its closed-cell, medium-density construction).
With space for the Starlink dish, stand, and battery pack, plus room for a 75-foot cable, the Caseman Starlink Travel Case has all the room you need to get your Starlink from Point A to Point B.
As we all know, space is at a premium when you’re camping or overlanding, so having a huge case for your Starlink and related accessories simply won’t work.
Caseman managed to create a case that’s just 28.6 x 17.55 x 11.65 inches, so you can easily slide it in the backseat of your vehicle, in the bed of your truck, or inside a storage bay in your trailer or RV. The roller wheels and extendable handle make moving the case around an even simpler task.
Best of all, this product is made in the USA, so you know the quality of the materials, the attention to detail, and the overall performance of this case is second-to-none.

At this point, though, I can say that Caseman has hit a home run! This case is superbly designed and built, offers tons of functionality (as you can see above, there’s a slot for the receiver foot for easy mounting), and is easy to maneuver. What more could you want?!

Top Accessories for Starlink: Starlink 150-Foot Cable
Starlink has official accessories available in its online shop. One of the first accessories I invested in was a 150-foot cable to make it easier to position the Starlink receiver for a clear line of sight.
Looking at the image below, you can see a white blob way off in the distance. That’s the Starlink receiver at the end of the 150-foot cable. In this particular location, I had to use every bit of that 150-foot cable to get the receiver into an area that provided enough clearance for a clear view of the sky.
Since I often camp in the mountains with trees and cliffs all around, having a double-length cable has been a definite bonus. Again, I don’t spend all my time working while I’m in the woods, but when it’s time to buckle down and get things done, this cable helps ensure I’ve got a strong signal to make calls, answer emails, write articles, and so forth.
Bonus tip: If you don’t want to buy the official Starlink 150-foot cable, you can get an off-brand cable from places like Amazon.
Top Accessories for Starlink: Starlink 8-Foot Pole
Like the 150-foot cable, you can also get an 8-foot pole from Starlink’s official store. I picked one of these up before I headed to Overland West last year because I knew I’d need to get the receiver up and out of the way to get a clear line of sight over all the vehicles, trailers, tents, and people that were at the expo.
I fashioned a mount on my Turtleback Expedition Trailer for the 8-foot pole to give it a secure place to attach while also maximizing the height of the Starlink dish off of the ground. This system works great – it’s easy to insert the pole and position Starlink for sending and receiving data.
Though I purchased this pole through Starlink, you could probably fashion one yourself if you’re handy, or there are off-brand options online in varying lengths.
Final Thoughts
Starlink has been a game-changer for me as a self-employed entrepreneur who loves the great outdoors.
The internet speed is fast and reliable, Starlink is easy to use, and with accessories like the Caseman Travel Case, the 150-foot Starlink cable, and the 8-foot Starlink pole, I have a setup that’s easy to transport and set up. What’s not to like?!
