Replacing steel winch cable with synthetic?

How long did it take you to swap out the steel cable with synthetic?

You should be spooling your cable out and in at least once a year. Two reasons, The steel cable can rust/corrode some and the area the motor brush's sit on will corrode some over time.

I spool out my steel cables occasionally and hit them with some WD40. On my list of too many things is switching to synthetic cable.
