Rear cargo shelf safety risk?

Those of you who have installed one of those rear cargo shelfs in the back of your Jeep. Any safety risks with having one of these? I know the shelf by itself will be fine, but my curiosity is when you have stuff sitting on it. How do you keep it secure?

Like anything else, if you don't secure it, things will move when you nail on the brakes.

Gawd do I have stories about that. Fortunately, nothing flying forward hit anyone. Luck was the only reason considering most things that went through the windshield were roll overs. Not all though.

I always plan on worst case scenarios. You never know.

You can put moley panels around the sides, which will keep everything in place.
