Opinions on engine tune?

Due to the increased weight when loaded power isn't enough. I have been thinking of doing an ECU tune to my vehicle by a professional shop to bring back some performance back but I do not want to decrease the reliability of my engine.

What are your thoughts on this? Are Ecu tunes safe? has anyone of you guys run them before?

If done by a professional they are safe. They do put a bit more stress on the engine but I wouldn't worry about it. The changes made are very accurate

I've been running one on my turbo diesel for 5 years with no issues. Sometimes they be actually be better for the engine as it runs more efficiently
