My new lift kit is too stiff

I have just installed a lift kit on my truck and the ride is much stiffer than it used to be. Has anyone experienced this with a lift kit? Will it get any softer as it settles?

Lift kits are in general a bit stiffer. This is because when lifting a vehicle you also raise its centre of gravity. Therefore, manufacturers make the springs and damping stiffer to reduce body roll.

It also plays a role wether you have chosen a stiffer lift kit to compensate for the added weigh of overlanding gear as if your truck is still empty the added stiffness will obviously be felt.

You should also keep in mind that after a few days the lift kit will settle and get slightly softer. Not by much though
