Installing lithium batteries in my Jeep Gladiator??

I was just on the phone with a local mechanic who advised me on NOT to install lithium batteries in my engine bay as an upgrade. That the heat would destroy the lithium battery. I could have sworn I heard others talking about lithium was the way to go. Now keep in mind, my Jeep has two batteries if it makes any difference. Thoughts please?

Why do you need the lithium battery mate? If it is for power at camp I would just go for a portable generator from jacker. a 1000w or 1500w can last a long time! They can be charged by solar too
