Can you take more firewood out than what you brought in?

When on BLM are you allowed to take firewood you cut back home with you? If so, is it as much as you want or within reason? Example - can you fill the back of your truck with cut firewood you found there?
 
Check with the BLM folks to be sure, but when I was a kid, we used to cut our own firewood on BLM land and they required you to get a permit to take firewood home. I believe you are allowed to cut wood to use while camping on their land, but not supposed to take any with you unless you have the permit specifically for that.
