Can dryer hose be used with diesel heater?

I just bought first diesel heater and wondering if an insulated dryer hose will work for hot air coming into tent?

Metal dryer hose is what I use now. I used the "heat proof" insulated plastic hose and it smelled. My buddies plastic hose started to deform. I think the length is 8 foot. If I need more I can add in the plastic to the end. It will have lost enough heat by that point.

You would expect the list operating temperature of these hoses. That metal one you have if you accidently step on it, can you bend it back?

Probably. You have the same issue with the vinyl ones. They both have a wire coiled inside. Im sure the metal ones will distort more.
