How long do you keep your overland trucks?

My Jeep is getting close to 10 years old now and it's at the point were many things need a refresh in order to be sure the truck is reliable for upcoming trips. What do you guys like to do when trucks get old? Sell and replace with new ones? or go over everything and make the old new again...

Is your overland rig also you daily driver?

The vehicle I use for overlanding and off roading is pushing 30 years old and is also my daily driver. I absolutely love the thing and daily drive it because I want to and not because I have to. Maintenance is a bit expensive but I think it is worth it. What about you guys? Does anyone else...

How are you getting external lighting wires inside your truck?

Can't think of anything else other than drilling holes. It also depends on your truck though. if it has a sunroof you may be able to pass some ire through there. Whatever you do make sure you don't ket water leaks afterwards

    Does anyone use dehydrated food?

I always see some in the truck when going out on trips. I don't use it as main camp food but instead as a backup for days when I am too tired to cook or if I just run out of ingredients to cook anything worthwhile

Great idea. Rooftop tents just sit on roofs without being used for the majority of time and all they do is add weight. When you have it on a trailer you only carry it around when you need it. Furthermore, you can setup basecamp and hit the tough trails in the area again without having the...

How long do your tires last?

I change them every 20-25k miles just to have fresh rubber at all times as I love the tougher trails. I sell the old ones as they usually still have some life left in them
