When we leave the trailer at the campsite, they go with us. When we're at the campsite, we have direct control of them. We don't stay in campgrounds, but if we were, we would probably use a console vault or similar if we were staying where other people were around.

I always assumed that the different orientations are so that people using different voltages for different items couldn't inadvertently plug into the wrong power source and fry something. Currently, everything I use Andersons for is +12VDC, so it hasn't been a concern of mine.

We just purchased a Geyser shower this last year for when we don't want to set up the shower on the trailer or when we don't have the trailer. Uses about a gallon of water per shower and is simple.

As mentioned, when setting up camp in the dark, or when cooking/cleaning dishes, lots of light is great. Otherwise, we have all lights off outside and use the campfire. Once done outside for the night, we go in and just use enough light to read by.

We have this style and we just dump it into a pit toilet in one of the campgrounds that we pass on the way back to a main road. Just make sure that there are no signs prohibiting dumping in them first. It has a nozzle so it can be dumped into an RV dump station as well, if needed. In a worst...

We use the Ozark Trail 6 gallon water jugs. They are available at Walmart or on Amazon. We have been using them for 4 or 5 years without issues. $16.88 each is a lot cheaper than the metal jugs.

I'm looking at the Stihl MSA300 CO https://www.stihlusa.com/products/chain-saws/battery-saws/msa300co/ for an upgrade. Dewalt also has a cheaper commercial landscaper chainsaw that is pretty good, but is a bit dated now. These things get updated/upgraded very quickly nowadays.

Portable electric fences are also supposed to be very useful. Depending on the terrain, they aren't difficult to set up either. Do some research and make sure you get one sized appropriately for your needs.
