Overland Brands That Stole the Show at Expo West

Overland West 2025 was an incredible celebration of adventure, community, and innovation that brought together overlanding enthusiasts from all walks of life. The energy was infectious as everyone eagerly explored the latest gear, swapped stories, and connected over a shared passion for exploring the great outdoors.

Whether you’re a seasoned overlander or just starting out, the event offered something for everyone—from cutting-edge rooftop tents to powerful off-road vehicles and everything in between. It was truly inspiring to see how this vibrant community continues to grow and evolve while staying rooted in the spirit of exploration and self-reliance.

One of the highlights of Overland West 2025 was the chance to meet so many new faces and reconnect with familiar friends. The atmosphere buzzed with genuine enthusiasm and camaraderie, making it easy to dive into conversations about favorite routes, gear recommendations, and epic adventures.

Discovering innovative products firsthand and chatting directly with the people behind the brands added a personal touch that made the experience all the more rewarding for me. Above all, it’s that story component—the folks behind the products—that reminded me this event is a joyful reminder that overlanding isn’t just about the gear or the vehicles. Instead, it’s about the people, the shared passion, and the stories that make every journey unforgettable.

In my earlier article, Top Brands You Can’t Miss at Overland Expo West, I spoke of a number of brands I couldn’t wait to see. In this article, I recap what each company brought to the Expo and how they rocked Overland West 2025!

Cube Series

Cube Series made a serious impression with two standout offerings—their innovative hard-sided pop-up camper and their cutting-edge overland trailer.

The Cube Camper is purpose-built for convenience and ruggedness, featuring garage-friendly dimensions, a fast-load anchoring system that eliminates the need for clunky tie-downs, and a robust construction of vacuum-bonded infused resin and fiberglass. It’s lightweight, insulated for four-season use, and packed with features like a water heater, 18,000 BTU furnace, and solar options—making it one of the most compelling campers for modern adventurers.

Cube Series Trailer Back

The Cube Series Trailer takes things even further. Designed with EV compatibility in mind, it offers solar-charging capabilities for electric vehicles, a patent-pending folding wall system for rapid deployment, and an impressive list of comforts like a convertible dinette sleeper, full kitchenette, and generous water storage.

The materials and engineering—fiberglass panels with aluminum substructure—ensure the trailer is both durable and lightweight. With advanced off-grid power options (including up to 1140W of solar and 720AH of lithium battery storage), heated tanks, and a high-end feel, it redefines what a compact overland trailer can be.

Why Cube Series Stole the Show at Overland Expo West

Cube Series didn’t just showcase gear—they demonstrated a vision for the future of overlanding. Attendees were drawn in by the sleek aesthetic, but they stuck around once they saw the innovation firsthand. The EV-friendly trailer, in particular, turned heads among tech-savvy and eco-conscious explorers, and many attendees were overheard calling it the “future overland trailers.” The thoughtful design details, advanced materials, and show-stopping demo of the folding wall system made their booth a true destination. Cube Series proved that next-gen gear isn’t just coming—it’s already here.

Denali Campers

Denali Campers showed up to the Expo with their American-built XTR-10 and XTR-6 trailers—both of which perfectly balance real-world functionality and craftsmanship. The XTR-10 is a squaredrop-style off-road trailer that features a galvanized steel chassis with a lifetime warranty, Cruisemaster off-road suspension, and 22 inches of ground clearance on aggressive all-terrain tires. From the articulating hitch to the ARK stabilizing gear and pivoting spare tire rack, this trailer is designed for remote, rugged environments.

Inside, the XTR-10 provides comfort with a spacious tri-fold memory foam mattress and clever storage. The exterior design includes premium components and robust utility, making it a practical solution for serious adventurers who don’t want to compromise on durability or comfort. Meanwhile, the smaller XTR-6 brings similar DNA in a more compact package, expanding Denali’s offerings for a range of vehicle setups and use cases.

Why Denali Campers Stole the Show at Overland Expo West

Denali Campers attracted a ton of buzz thanks to their rock-solid engineering and real-world practicality. Their booth felt less like a sales pitch and more like a gathering of serious off-road enthusiasts—and that authenticity resonated. The XTR-10’s rugged build, lifetime chassis warranty, and trail-proven hardware made it a favorite among experienced overlanders. Denali’s ability to blend premium off-road components with thoughtful interior comfort struck the perfect chord, especially with Expo attendees looking for American-made reliability with no fluff—just functionality and finesse.

Arkto Campers

arkto overland west 1

Arkto Campers came onto the scene with a fresh and elevated take on the hybrid camper segment—and they didn’t waste any time turning heads at Overland Expo West. Their design philosophy centers on merging the rugged build quality that overlanders demand with the comforts that make extended stays in the backcountry more enjoyable. It’s the best of both worlds, packed into a compact and innovative form factor that feels more refined than most of what’s out there.

Their flagship model, the G12, is a striking example of what happens when a company listens to real-world adventurers. Built in Canada and designed to perform in all four seasons, the G12 combines a rigid structural base with a pop-up roof that gives users full standing room without compromising aerodynamics or durability. The hard-walled lower half provides protection and warmth, while the upper soft-sided portion saves weight and collapses for easy towing and storage. It’s a design that speaks to thoughtful engineering and a desire to meet the practical needs of adventurers in challenging climates.

Why Arkto Campers Stole the Show at Overland Expo West

At Overland Expo West, Arkto Campers generated serious buzz for exactly this reason—they brought a product to market that blends smart Canadian engineering with real off-road sensibility.

The G12, in particular, struck a chord with attendees because it offers an answer to a common overlanding dilemma: how to stay comfortable and well-insulated without hauling a bulky or overly complex rig. Arkto’s sleek design, high build quality, and clear attention to four-season livability made their booth a standout. Visitors were especially impressed by how the camper transitions effortlessly between a low-profile towable unit and a spacious, livable setup once deployed—making it ideal for both quick getaways and longer, remote excursions.

SNO Trailers

Every time Overland Expo West comes around, SNO Trailers is at the top of my must-visit list—and with good reason. I’ve worked with the SNO Trailers team for a few years now, and I can say without hesitation: these trailers are overbuilt in all the right ways. Every weld, bracket, and bolt has a purpose, and that purpose is to deliver absolute reliability in the most demanding conditions. They aren’t just building for the showroom—they’re building for the trail, and it shows.

This year, the spotlight was firmly on the Alpine, a head-turning, full-featured overland trailer that balances rugged capability with refined design. The Alpine includes thoughtful features like a proprietary anti-rust base coating, Timbren suspension, an optional Fabtech long-travel upgrade, and a 40-degree departure angle. With a dry weight of just 1,500 lbs, it’s versatile enough to be towed by a wide variety of vehicles, all while packing serious trail capability.

But SNO Trailers doesn’t stop with the Alpine. For those seeking something lighter, the Baja weighs just 800 lbs and is ideal for towing behind UTVs or small SUVs. It’s no slouch off-road, with standard Timbren suspension and an optional Fabtech upgrade. For those who want ultimate maneuverability, the Recon and Remington R-.410 each come in at a featherweight 600 lbs, built specifically for quads and UTVs navigating tight, rugged trails. The Remington R-20 adds more sleeping space while staying compact, and the R-12 delivers space for a four-person tent and premium suspension for families or groups who go deep into the backcountry.

One of the most compelling parts of working with SNO Trailers is the people themselves. Based in Southern California, they’re not just builders—they’re adventurers, craftspeople, and passionate members of the overland community. Their approach to custom builds and customer collaboration makes every trailer feel personal and purpose-built. Whether you’re a seasoned explorer or just getting into off-grid travel, their lineup offers something that fits your mission perfectly.

Why SNO Trailers Stood Out at Overland Expo West

The Alpine drew a constant crowd, thanks to its blend of top-tier craftsmanship, modular design, and trail-ready performance. It’s the kind of trailer that checks all the boxes for serious overlanders, but still feels user-friendly and customizable for weekend warriors.

From the premium kitchen setup to the power system and recovery-focused features, everything is both refined and rugged. SNO Trailers ability to pair form with function—and their commitment to working closely with customers—made them one of the most talked-about brands at the show.

At this year’s Overland West, Timberleaf Trailers drew crowds for all the right reasons. Their signature model—the Classic—was a standout, not just for its retro curves and trail-ready suspension packages, but for its jaw-dropping interior details like birch-paneled walls, a stargazer skylight, and a chef-worthy rear galley. Attendees were impressed by the thoughtful mix of comfort and function, especially in a trailer that weighs just 1,500 pounds dry. Whether it was the Max Coupler hitch on the Off-Road Package or the clever storage solutions throughout the cabin, Timberleaf’s display was a masterclass in design meeting durability.

What made Timberleaf such a hit wasn’t just their trailers—it was the story behind them. Showgoers were drawn in by the company’s authenticity, craftsmanship, and passion for the outdoors. In other words, the Timberleaf team reminded everyone at Overland West that there’s still a place for artistry in the world of adventure travel—and that a teardrop trailer, when built right, can be both a rugged companion and a warm retreat under the stars.
