What is your favorite time of the year to head out camping?

I managed to break my left wrist and now typing with one hand and have to cancel my upcoming trip. As I'm sitting here this evening, it dawned on me that I'm mainly heading out during late summer and fall time. Would love to learn when others head out the most for your camping?

Well that just sucks.
I'm going to assume by your name you spend time in the Mojave. Same here.

For me its fall to spring, possibly edging into the summer. July here started the heat wave and the local mountains get way too crowded. The Sierra isn't too bad of a drive but I like to do those trips over three plus days and again, can be crowded during the heat.
Right now I'm doing maintenance and building stuff (when its not too hot).
