Under armor that doesn't weight so much?

So let me ask this: Our 4Runner has been taking a beating. Especially this year as we have been getting out a lot more than we have previously. With these outings, has come more bumps and bruises to the truck. Including the bottom. We know we need to get some under armor, but the problem is, that will add so much weight and weight means we get worse fuel range.

I don't suppose someone makes carbon fiber under armor for these trucks that isn't priced ridiculous?

Dang, not for the vehicle. I know there are for you the person, but not for your rig. You'll need to go with aluminum. Aluminum is a lot lighter than steel.

Under armor needs to have some thickness to it. Carbon fiber isn't with impacts, so you need to go with an alloy of some sort. Aluminum is going tube the lightest option.
