Traction boards weaken when left in sun over time?

We all know the sun is brutal on things. What happens to the strength of things like traction boards that are left out in the elements 24/7? Will that plastic compound weaken over time? Making the boards worthless?

I think if you buy a quality board, it won't be affected by the sun. Well other than fading over time, that's about it.

Pretty much the same here. Mine have been in the sun for damn, 4 years? They have faded only a little bit, but work excellent.
