We have been researching and trying to weight risks of heading down to Mexico to camp. So have been watching a lot of videos on this. This guy has a quick video that hits it on the head. Traveling to Mexico can be extremely dangerous these days, however I believe with the right precautions and size of your group, it's doable.

Good tip, these days Mexico has gained a bad rep for traveling too, perhaps with some better educated folks, driving here will be saver.
