I think they are planning on making it an EV mate which is not an issues for me. What will be issues is if they give it independent suspension all around

It looks good but I fear that Toyota will hold back the the mechanical stuff that make a great off roader.

I would imagine IFS for sure (no chance of a solid axle) and if it is electric I fear it may even have an IS rear and some weird transmission to go with the motors.

We'll see though. The only brand that has made a proper EV off roader until now is Jeep
