Day 6 of suspension/steering training. My students had to strip all the suspension off a 2018 Tacoma and put it back on. Simple nut's and bolt's.
Until someone decided to impact in the lower strut bolt (both sides) without properly starting the nut on the thread.

It's hard to see in the picture but the threads are gone from the end. Glad these aren't customers cars.
Did I mention "both sides".

Are you teaching a tech school? My brother in law teaches high school shop class and he has shared numerous times, PHD needed in patience. Tremendous respect for teachers!

Tech school. I don't know if I could handle high school. I recently started teaching students to work at Toyota/Lexus. I would rather have them make mistakes with me then on customers cars.
