How tough are awnings?

Hey all, I am thinking of installing an awning on my truck but since I live in a place with thick bush anything that is mounted on the truck usually get bashed by branches thick and thin.

How tough are awnings? Will they last in such conditions or will I get rips all over it?

Also, is there a specific one you would recommend as better built than the rest?

Get an ARB one. The good quality products usually do not have issues and even if they do you have good warranty to cover the damage

yeah, just like with most parts and accessories the good quality ones can get beat up without much issue. The cheap ones usual brake or get ripped apart

I've had mine for more than 5 years now and had no issues with it. It has been through a lot of branches and I have also smacked it on a bank a few times. So far so good.
