How to pump water from river to camp site 100 feet?

I have a 12v self priming pump on my overland rig that is good for pushing water about 65 feet. Water levels have been down in many places we have gone, which require pumping water a tad over 100 feet. So I'm trying to figure out how I can do this while keeping it 12v and simple setup?

I was thinking perhaps I could put another pump midway and just run 12v extension line, would this work?

You'll definitely need another bump closer to the water source or a larger one.

Is this on a trailer? Seems like a lot of work for an overnight trip. Time to fill tanks ahead of time. Think about it, to run another battery for secondary (closer to water source) pump. That is added weight, not to mention the additional hose. Just my 2 cents.
