How to export from Gaia maps?

If I want to export a recorded trail I just traveled on, and send to someone how do I do this? Also do they need to have Gaia in order to read it?

Sharing with GAIA
I do most of my planning with GAIA on my PC and my nav system is my I-Pad. As soon as I hit cell or wifi, GAIA uploads to its cloud and updates all the new things I added. At home, I can e-mail people complete files with routes, waypoints and tracks. I can do the same with my tablet but I find it easier on the eyes to use my monitor.
