How difficult is it to install a winch?

I have bought a winch bumper for my truck and I am now looking for the winch. Before I go out and book an appointment for a mechanic to fit everything I wanted to learn how difficult it is to actually install a winch.

What is the procedure? Does it require extensive electrical knowledge or is something the average home mechanic could do?

It isn't a difficult job at all. You just connect the wires were the manual says you should and bolt the winch onto your winch bumper! I would say the average home mechanic could tackle this relatively easily

Not difficult at all mate. Should not be an issue if you hove some experience of mechanical and electrical repairs

not very difficult mate. You need to connect the wires as the manual describes and bolt the winch on the bumper
