How are you cleaning your engine bay?

My trucks engine bay is trashed and needs a good detailing. Is it OK to to spray this down with hose and then dry with leaf blower? Particularly the water is what I'm most curious about. I won't spray directly at the air cleaner, but everything else should be fine right?

Avoid spraying over the coil plugs, distributor, fuse boxes and ECU. A bit of water is fine but do not hit it with the pressure hose. If you want to remove oil and grease use some engine degreaser

Very light spray of water and use compressed air to dry

There is spray you can get that foams up, then you lightly spray off with hose. Works pretty good. If I've been in dusty areas, I'll use air compressor to knock off debris first.
