I do sometimes yes. I think I might be changing to a normal tent actually. There are many drawbacks to a rooftop tent that are usually not mentioned
 
I think rooftop tents hinder the ability of a vehicle to tackle the real tough tracks by a lot and this is the main reason I avoided buying one
