Charging lithium battery when temperature is below freezing?

What happens if it's below freezing and you need to charge your lithium battery? Is it going to damage the battery or just take longer to charge?

It's not going to damage it, the worst thing is to leave it flat in the cold. It will charge normally but will lose charge quicker
