best way to use a heated blanket?

How do you guys use your heated blankets to get warm while cold weather camping? Do you keep them on all night?

use it as a bed layer to hit up your bedding and sleeping bag and as soon as you are in the sleeping bag and ready to fall asleep switch it off. I find that it gets a bit too warm for me when I leave it on

We have one, my wife will use as she gets cold easy, but she keeps it on lowest setting all night.

Keep it on but at the lowest setting. It gets veer warm

Get a small generator that will power the blanket and your off to the races.

Lowest setting and leave it on for the whole or half night. Be aware that they do need a lot of juice
