Agree, a good set of chains should last you years. Mine I have had for 9 years. Actually 10 I think. Either way, they are old.

If you buy new, pretty sure Sprinters are now AWD vs 4x4. So now you have computers on your side which will keep it in 2wd until you need it.

I'll take mine and put it on a large rubbermaid container. It expands the top surface a bit, but obviously not super secure.

100% its intriguing, but 1.5" mattress as I was just reading would be a tough one for me. Yeah it's memory foam, but your going to be laying on your roof or will feel the roof rack bars through that.
