Yeah, about every 12 months let it out and respool it back up. Honestly it's just good practice and preventive measures. I have winch on front of truck and one on a utility trailer, and if I don't use, I always unwind and run it back up each year.

Question on Amazon they show this "Intelligent Speed" controller right next to a high and low switch. Is there two speeds to this thing or is the speed controlled by the dolly?
