What impact does a rooftop tent have on off road performance?

If it a light one not much. They heavier and taller ones can hinder performance as you cannot fit through low spaces and they put weight up high
 
in my case it didn't have much of an impact. I do have a pickup though so it is mounted down low in the bed. I also avoid the really tough tracks
