Overlanding and higher fuel prices at the pump?

Just paid over $7 per gallon for gas. Honestly though this crap was behind us. Are you finding you are sticking a little bit closer to home with fuel prices where they are?

I was just reading an article this morning that national average is going up. I like the outdoors to much to let this change the frequency I head out. I'll walk if I need too!

Just gotta keep your foot out of the gas! Seriously though, my Jeep gets single digit MPGs when towing and driving with timing in mind. When I pull back the throttle, I can get upwards of 11/12MPG even with water full in the trailer.
