Knife oil all the same?

Quick question on knife oil, is there any difference in terms of what works best? Or is all knife oil pretty much the same?

I cant remember what brand I use, I just order honing oil.
Now that you ask, I don't use my stone any more. I've gone to ceramic sharpeners. I wonder if they use a diffrent oil. I just reorder what came with my kit.

Ceramic sharpener? How is that different from using a stone?

Similar but instead of stone its ceramic.
The whet stone I have is probably more than 30 years old. My sister got me this ceramic sharpening set for Christmas several years ago. The advantage is, its a bit quicker and it has a guide so I don't have to hold my blade at the exact angle. The down side is, I wear out the small stones and need to replace them every few years.
