Getting your dog up and down your rooftop tent?

Hey gang, how are you getting your dog up and down your rooftop tent? Must be an easier way than to carry up. I have a bad right knee and while I can climb up with my dog, it's tough and I've nearly busted butt a few times doing so.

I’ve seen people making little ramps that lead up to one of the side windows.
