Ecodiesel JL Or Petrol?

Just a quick opinion post, which one of the two do you guys prefer? Wrangler JL Ecodiesel or Petrol?

Ecodiesel for performance due to the torque but the petrol seems far more reliable. I guess petrol to avoid the headache.

i am with toomuddy on this one. From what i see online the ecodiesels seem to have some issues.

It depends mate, if you are planning on running big tires and off roading i would go with the diesel regardless. The power is far more usable. But i do agree that the petrol may be more reliable

Diesel is going to give much better torque and economy, plus with gas prices hiking that's not a bad thing

Really? A buddy of mine has a diesel Wrangler and that thing is an unstoppable beast. The only drawback for me, is the smell of diesel.

Ecodiesel if you are keeping the truck while in warranty and then selling. Petrol for long term

Seriously wish I had the diesel option when I bought mine. But it wasn't available. So, if you want my 2 cents, go for it with the diesel!

Hell yeah, like it or not, diesel is the way to go. More power and gotta love the torque curve!

Either is getting so darn expensive at the pumps!
