Benefits of burning kerosene vs diesel in heater?

I was just watching one of Alex's videos on this channels YouTube channel on diesel heaters. He mentions at one point you can burn K1 kerosene OR diesel. So what he doesn't mention is what are the benefits of using one over the other?

I'm pretty sure Kerosene will burn cleaner at higher elevations than diesel

OMG where do you even find kerosene? I know there are the green diesel pumps, but I have never seen a kerosene pump.
