Steel vs Aluminum bed rack

Other than weight savings, are there any other reasons why aluminum will be the better option for a bed rack? Steel will be considerably stronger, but you pay with the weight. But with aluminum you can have more support that can offset the weight. So... ?

Well if you want a good aluminum one, it's going to cost you. You save a ton of weight too
