Under 1800lbs Expedition trailer options?

My wife wants a smaller trailer that she can tow when she heads off with her camping friends. She is part of a womens overlanding group and our other toys she doesn't want to tow and wants something smaller and more manageable. Must be able to install tent on roof.

What type of trailer were you thinking?

Small tear drop trailers can be made of wood and fiberglass. Even though their street trailers, a good set of tires works well. If your looking for an open trailer with an RTT, look at the old small military trailers. My M-100 weighs in at 800 pounds empty.

If you want lightweight, go and Google "Space Trailer", their trailers are something like 500lbs or something crazy light that.

I know the old ones were made in South Africa and typically imported to Australia. Quite a few found their way to the United States and they come up for sale pretty often. I don't know if they still make them or not.
