Wich is the best platform for a vehicle to do hard wheeling and overlanding/touring in?

So I need something relatively reliable, comfortable and very capable to hit the difficult trails but also be able to cruise on the motorway and overland.

Which vehicle would you choose for this? It needs to have solid front and rear axles!

For this kind of stuff I think the only good vehicle out of the ones sold in the US right now is the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon. Spacious, relatively comfy, the petrol is reliable and with a good lift kit and tires it can definitely tackle the hard stuff!

I will also say Jeep Gladiator. Sadly, properly good brand new off roaders are a dying breed!

Jeep Wrangler and in other parts of the world the 79 series land cruiser. Keep in mind that persumably this or the year after we will be getting the Inios which looks very promising! It's basically and old Defender but brand new.
