Why don't more offroad trailers utilize slide outs?

This is seriously so cool:

When you think about the space this opens up too, that makes for a lot of space while out camping. Unless I'm missing something the weight is pretty good as well.
 
I had one of those camp near me once.
That's something I tried to research when I built my trailer. I ran into a dead end when it came to the rails it would slide on I had on on one of my campers and it rocked. I still kick around building another trailer if I can figure the slide out part properly.
 
That wrap isn't my cup of tea, but that trailer is pretty sick though. But I bet there is adjustments that need to be made to that trailer and rail system if you are taking that offroad often.
 
Actually kind of like the wrap. What i'm wondering is what it's like to tow such a wide trailer. But dang once you are on location that has to be awesome.
 
My wife would love this. Not saying I wouldn't but she was just talking about wanting more space.
