Tracking down rattling noise?

I'm trying to help a friend who just picked up a 2016 Ford Rapture, but the truck has some rattling noise. He is nearly 800 miles from me. If I was closer, it would be easy to track down. But if you can hear rattling noises, how can you track yourself?

Solo? Hmmm, mount a GoPro under the truck, OR start shaking things and see what makes that noise.

Lay down on your creeper and bring a hammer and start tapping on things under your truck till you find something that doesn't sound right.
