Tacticool Firepits on the ground??

Can these be used on the ground or do you need legs on these? Any chance do you know how these compare to one of those Lavebox pits?

I don't have a Tacticool so I cant compare. I will say my fire pit gets hot enough that I wont set it on anything that can burn. If I cant set it on bare ground I set it on some rocks.
Comparison wise, I do know some pits use an aerator and some don't. If they don't use one, the propane fire throws soot. I've seen several brands of "ammo can" fire pit's and that's the only difference I've seen.

100% you want something under that if it flammable.

I have a Lavabox and you definitely want to use something for legs to get it off the ground.

On desert dirt ground, you'll be fine. But if ground can burn, use something under it.

They sell firepits that people make themselves? Propane? LOL I don't see anything that could go wrong.

These little heaters are just awesome, but they do get incredibly hot, you'll want legs
