Assuming you are allowing your cat to sleep on this thing, the exterior skin is pretty durable. Only bone I have to pick is cleaning it

Buy it, you won't be disappointed. Mine is nearly 2 years old and it's the best sleep I've gotten while camping. Exped claims you only need a few pumps of air, I happen to disagree with this and will say it takes a lot more than a few pumps of air. But still, so worth it.
