Disc-O-Bed with Expeed dual mattress?

When you are not using the bunk orientation can you put these side by side and lay a dual Expeed mattress on top of the Disc-O-Bed and not damage the mattress? Would it be comfortable or would there be a big bar separating my wife and I?

I'm pretty sure it will work, but nothing you can do about that center column riding in your back.

I just Googled this bed and have seen these before, but had no idea that converts into a couch! ha ha ha, I'm no help to your post, just saying that bed looks cool.

Very strudy bed, the ends have this locking system that makes it very stable
