Yes, but that was only because he was steering the 'stuck' person to insurance.

I remember reading about that and there were a few videos. As far as I see it, the guy is helping people out and yes, HE still gets paid for her services, he was just having the insurance companies pick up the tab vs the person who is likely sitting on a totalled vehicle.
