What is all the hype with the Patagonia M/Ts?

How have these tires managed to become this famous? I have not run a set yet but would love to, it seems that anywhere you go someone will have these on their rig!

I think the most appealing thing about them is the price. For what you pay they are a brilliant tire

They are a great tire at a good price mate. As you know anything overland or off road related is crazy expensive so having something relatively good and reasonably priced sells extremely well
