I had a 12 foot Lance camper with a slide out. It took several years of dirt roads to ruin it. My current trailer has gone on more trips in the last two years then that Lance did in 10. I really, really wanted to do a slide out after seeing this trailer. I just cant figure out how to make it strong. I saw one at an event last year and looked at it carefully (trying to get design ideas). The slide is very similar to my Lance. What I would add is a pair of legs under the slide out to support it. I didnt like the amount of flex it had when i got someone to crawl in it with me looking at it from the outside.
