To run wheel spacers or not to run wheel spacers. Any opinions?

I need to push my tires a little outwards as I have some rubbing issues due to the larger size. I am thinking about going for wheel spacers but have heard mixed opinions. Does anyone have experience with them?

I run them for a year now with no issues mate. All I do is check the wheel bearings every once in a while

The argument is that due to the new angles wheel bearing are being stressed. You steering might also become slightly more heavy but that is rare. I run them with no issues but if I was to do some very remote touring I wouldn't. However, checking them often should be enough for you to run them they are not as bad as people make them seem

In my opinion it is all false internet opinions. Surely they do put more strain but it isn't as bad as people say. Car parts are strong and won't fail by adding wheel spacers. You speed up the wearing process a bit
