Refilling 1lb propane bottles yourself from 20lb tank?

Good Morning. 1lb tanks seem like a waste of $$. But a necessity. I've been looking around and learned that some people fill these themselves from 20lb tanks which cost a lot less. Have you done this before? Any tips you can share about the process? These days with automotive gas costing so much, might as well look for places to cut cost.

LOL not a chance, not crazy about messing with propane. I’ll just use a 20lb tank with adapter.

Yeah, I'd pass on this as well. Not a fan of messing around with Propane period.

There are some kits, but you need to make sure you don't overfill the bottles.

For my needs, not enough need to fill 1lb tanks. I do carry a 5lb tank on my rig, which is all I need for most things.
